Cats are very special critters. True, they don't "talk" but I never cease to be amazed at the many ways they can come up with to communicate their wants/needs. My 3 all know how to get what they want from me and nobody has to say a word.
Sounds like they have you well trained. You know the saying Dogs want a master Cats want a staff.
FWIW we have 3 very large indoor only male Main Coons and when they get bounding thought the house at night it sounds like a Clydesdale running and can actually shake things a bit.
Added--- Actually many Coons are quite vocal and make a lot of different sounds!
"Plinking" - When a cat has plenty of dry food and an empty aluminum can that once held food and she plays with the empty can at 5 AM.
if my cats bowl gets lower than 1/2, she wont eat, just sets there and gives me the saddest look, and it works, regards Ernie
