Last night one of the kittens found a catnip mouse that has two bells on it.
All night long.

That's why I cut the bells off Shasta was making too much noise with them at 2am or so.

Cats are very special critters. True, they don't "talk" but I never cease to be amazed at the many ways they can come up with to communicate their wants/needs. My 3 all know how to get what they want from me and nobody has to say a word.

Yup! I'm, also, able to control my cats by using nothing more than my eyes! A stare means you disapprove; a blink means you're non-threatening; and a moving gaze means that everything's cool.

Cats do, however, prefer it when you talk to them because, like purring, deliberate noise making calls attention to oneself, and means that the noisemaker has no intention of attacking.
