I don't think I'd give up my guns for Charlize but I'd sure give it some serious thought.*s*
I wouldn't give up my M1917 Enfield with the cracked stock for a nineteen year old Elizabeth Taylor. Charlize Theron? Not a chance.

Any woman that would want me to give up guns isn't worth the trade of an RG revolver with the cylinder rusted shut.

I just watched The Five on Fox and they covered the same thing in a rather spirited conversation. As you can imagine, being on Fox, they made a lot of sense when it came to the subject of background checks. Geraldo was the only one appalled at someone having 13 guns, oh my!!!!! He was very much in favor of stricter, more comprehensive background checks. Everyone else on the panel disagreed with him.

I'm a light weight when it comes to number of guns. I lost quite a few in that boating accident on Lake Superior. I personally know of a guy who lost count at 400. Nobody understands legal, law abiding gun owners. No matter how you phrase your arguments they don't understand. I know because I have 2 sisters who are so far to the left they need to be supported so they don't fall over.

If the powers to be want us to be like Australia, why don't they just move there and they'll feel safe.

If you collect stamps, sports memorabilia, etc. you are considered normal. When your hobby is collecting guns, prepare to be judged. To me, guns are an investment. One of the few things that, at the very least, won't lose value over time and are likely to increase in value.

Reminder..

I find it helpful to keep in mind how many people, who are unfamiliar with our hobby/passion/way of life, there are out there. And especially, how they view us...

Let's see . . . 22 handguns, 22 rifles, centerfire handguns, centerfire rifles, shotguns . . . k, I have less than 13 of each. I'm balanced.
