Explain Your User Name

For most of my younger life I grew up in the great state of Nebraska. The only D 1 college is the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I love college football especially the era of Tom Osnorne. Someone once couldnt remember my name and something like ole whats his name the cornhusker guy. I am Huskerguy.

Seems I'm pretty late to the game here.

Caper was the name of my first sailboat. She was given that name when christened in December 1957. When I got her I didn't see any reason to change the name she'd had for forty years. I've generally used Caper for email, forums and such ever since.

The sailboat was a Kettenburg K-38. When Caper seems to be in use already I just add the model K38.

My Name

The day I signed onto this forum I was tired of hiding from the world with funny passwords, code names, by lines, ect, so I signed on with my name!

All those who have come to hurt me have not been found.
I refuse to live afraid.

It is an abbreviation of my Federally Copyrighted "alter ego".

As a stage performer (and radio/TV announcer), It is my Copyrighted image (in costume):

"Faster than a speeding insult...
more powerful than an ulterior motive...
able to leap to a conclusion in a single bound, it's...

CAPTAIN OBVIOUS"!

True story.

Somehow......

I love Westerns so--I chose the lead character in the nineteen thirty-nine version of my all time most favorite western: Stagecoach. The Ringo Kid was portrayed by John Wayne. TRK was supposed to be a bad guy in Stagecoach--however--we all know he really wasnt one. Anyway--that Ringo had been in minor trouble with the authorities--like I have been here sometimes. :D Anyway, Dutch Henry Brown and Waco Johnny Dean--are just too long for me to keep spelling out. And besides-the both of them get killed in a gunfight but the RK never was killed. :D

Seems to me that calling John Wayne a 'kid' would be a great misnomer and possibly very dangerous.
