Finally, I'm on my way to Nevada. I'm looking at a place South of Reno on 10 acres. If I like it, I'll make a cash offer. Good-bye California.

I will not miss California of 2016. I already miss the California I knew as a child. For the people who have destroyed California; stay the hell out of Nevada. There should be a bounty on Californians who want to turn Nevada into East California.

I will be out in 7 more years , I am a 5th generation Californian and can not believe what has happened to my state, with Gavin Newsome the next in line to be governor what is next in their bag of tricks

Congrats.

We love CA, having family and friends there. However, CA laws are ridiculous and it seems like it's not getting better anytime soon :(

Congratulations on your sell and best wishes for finding a great place in NV. We are looking in that area too! Getting out of CA is a priority when we can. Maybe we'll be neighbors someday.

California was awesome. A great deal of my misspent youth was partying on Mt Diablo. When it got too hot we'd ride our bikes for a 25 degree temp drop from the other side of the Caldecott tunnel. Ride around the Oakland hills, SkyLine Blvd, Hippie chicks were everywhere around Half Moon Bay. Lake Tahoe was only a 3hr ride. Buddy had a cabin there. If I had a better education and could have afforded to live there... it's was paradise for a yute.

My father passed away in January and we sold the house that he owned and we grew up in for 50 years this week. Try to figure out how to keep it in the family, but nothing worked. California is beautiful to visit, but I will never be taxed by those folks. They are crazy.

Congrats on the sale, and hope the grass is greener where your headed. :)

I was never so glad to leave anywhere, as when I left a short term job at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo in the early 90's. During the time I was there, the Northridge earthquake, Bear Lake earthquake, and Rodney King riots occurred.

Most of my California experience occurred while in Uncle Sam's Navy in 1966 and 1967. I was there for a year, some in San Diego, some in San Francisco. The experience was strange to me then and probably stranger now. I went through there a couple of years ago and watched TSA at the SF airport torture a man who's broken body was full of steel. I told them to leave him alone and check somebody who might resemble a terrorist. I got on the plane a couple of hours later after a thorough exam.

Good luck to you! I am a native Baltimorean, and have lived in Maryland my entire life...but I can't wait to leave.

I made an offer on the house I was interested in. After my offer, and their counter offer, and my counter counter offer, we settled on a price. I signed the papers, and we close later this month after I get the money for my house in San Jose.

For better or worse, the die is cast. I'm on my way to Nevada.

Same situation here, moving from Hell-annoys to Indiana, hopefully after this move I'm done with moving, well I hope anyway lol

Congrats and enjoy !

Congratulations.

I go into CA once a year and can never wait to get through that state. Roads are a mess and S. CA is turning into the armpit of the west coast.

I read that NV is getting more CA relocates than any other state. TX has their share also. Three of my neighbors here in WA are CA relocates within the last 5 years. They come here to avoid the state taxes on their pensions. NV, TX and WA are three of the 7 states that don't tax pensions.

In a few more years CA will be nothing more than a welfare state. The recently passed $15 minimum wage is nothing more than another form of welfare for lower income groups.

I too like Charlie spent many years in California, consider it my second home after 21 yrs. living there. Wife is a SoCal gal but absolutely refuses to move back. Had 4 uncles who lived and died in San Francisco region. Visited in late 50's and 60's quite often . Now completely different state.
Wife's sisters are moving, eldest and husband just purchased a home near Prescott Az, papers signed sealed and delivered, other one still looking and the youngest is contemplating moving.
I would think it would be hard to uproot your life and leave what has been home since birth but all seem to have adapted and are happy.

I visited a friend in Mountain Home Arkansas a few weeks ago and he was telling me they were getting some Kal. retirees there as well. He also said they were agitating and complaining they didn't have everything like Kal. in Arkansas. If you leave Kal. please don't try to californicate your new state..Please!
