Your favorite gun-- you never EDC?

Any of my H&K P7s, or Walther P5s or P88s. Superb pistols, I LOVE them...but I'd never subject them to the abuse of EDC.

The Model 19 for me too, but of the S&W variety. Is there another Model 19? It's fantastic, great action, shoot it as well as any other of my handguns and better than most, it conceals fairly well, I just don't carry it every day. My Model 36 is much easier. I usually go for the .357 for hiking and other outdoor activities but rarely ever when I can't, or shouldn't, open carry.

I like the 105 howitzer loaded with canister, but the local police department shut me down after my last shooting. Too much collateral damage they said! What wussies!

Believe it or not I have a Heritage rough rider that goes to the range with me every time and I love that thing. I've put thousands and thousands of rounds through it with no problems. Just love the weight and feel of it.

My favorite gun that I don't carry is my VP9. I shoot this gun better than any other that I own but it's just too big to conceal on my rather generous middle. As Florida's climate never gets cold enough for heavy clothes I can't even carry it seasonally.
But it's not a problem as long as I have my 9mm Shield

Smith's first 1911, the stainless billboard. Very early serial #, so likely a Performance Center build. Trigger has about an eighth inch of travel and then breaks like a glass rod. (I know it's a cliché, but it does.) It weighs 39 ounces though, so I carry a PC Shield.

Sure do! I have a M686 no-dash that shoots like a dream, but is a bit too large for anything other than open carry (which I've actually done while bicycling in rural areas).

It's dialed-in for 158 grain ammo and works great with Speer Gold Dots or Remington SJHPs.

CCW- MP45 mid size; Open Carry - 686+ (my two favorite). For EDC - Ruger LPC or Charter Arms Undercover Lite

Analyzed the h*ll out of it for quite a few years now and the logical choice is the G26, comes up the winner every time in terms of capacity, concealment, reloadability, etc. But the S&W 49 is what gets carried.

I don't carry this one, but I do shoot it better than my pistol:

The Big Piece

S&W M500 Stainless 4-inch Big Rock Exclusive with the bear head print on the frame and tracks on the cylinder

Oddly, this is the most impractical gun in my collection. There are many guns in my collection that I use a lot more often as either carry or sport, but it is hard to pick just one as a favorite; it's the reason why I bought what I have, but the 500 magnum just stands out from the pack.

For now, it is mostly for special target shooting when I go to my friends property and we can select "not for the club range" objects like watermelons, old electronics, and 2-liters. Not to mention he has a shooting car.

I never had the motivation to go pistol hunting, but since acquiring this hand artillery piece, I've been itching to give it a go.

This piece can be expensive to shoot; even compared to a 44 magnum, but it is fun and gets a lot of attention.

Honorable Mentions (That I do not carry and most likely never will):
Ruger Redhawk 44 Magnum - used to carry this in the woods OWB until I acquired the Glock 20.

Glock 35 MOS - Pure target and competition with heavy modifications. Chose the 40 cal instead of 9mm because I feel the 40 is less affected by the outside elements when shooting 25+ yards. Before I get challenged on this belief, I will admit that this is probably mostly psychological. I'm just more accurate with the 40 cal.

Special Carry - When in The Hazardous Environments:

Glock 20. I have to work sometimes outside in some of the worst areas in the city and for recreation, I love the deep woods. When the threat could be a predator on four legs or a crack/meth/pcp head who lost their mind, I trust my Glock 20. The 10mm with 15+1 has the most firepower that I can carry and still shoot with just my off-hand with balls on accuracy.

I have an old Marlin lever action 22 with hooded front site.
I squirrel hunt with it. But its hard to find an IWB holster that fits.

Model 64 S&W , 38 special , with a Millet SP-1 red dot sight.
The 1 inch tube of the Millet red dot makes it hard to shove in your pants....heck I can't even find an OWB holster for it.
But , OH MY that set up is so accurate....place the dot on something and squeeze the trigger and it's hit. I'm 67 and haven't been able to do that with a handgun in a long time. Old eyes are a reality now.
