Very few no ethanol stations in this area. Back in Md where there was a lot of boat use there were many. In all my boats I ran non ethanol and in a couple with the bigger engines and when fishing off shore I used High test as they called it . I have a 7.5 HP Johnson made in 1971 I used extensively for many years when guiding(waterfowl)...so mostly winter use...in mostly salt/brackish water. To the best of my knowledge it has never had any ethanol gasoline used in it...45 years old and still runs great...And I kinda abused that motor. Well...worked it hard. Good gasoline does make a difference I think in any motor. Just had both my 4 wheeler's gone over and the carbs were messed up..they ran..but not well. No more ethanol fuel in them if at all possible. There is one Sinclair station about 10 miles from home with ethanol free gas. I'll see if they have Top Tier advertising around the place.

Well, hmmmmm, that's all well and good, but there's already several links in this thread showing the same thing.
So that doesn't answer the question. I checked several majors here, and --no stickers, other that regulatory body certification guaranteeing pump accuracy.... Hummmmm?
But the fact is, it's a non issue for me because every station anywhere near me sells what (according to their website) is "required to meet" top tier standards. I can't buy non top tier even if I wanted to.
Except for PEMEX
...and that's Venezuelan gas sold by a Mexican company....here in the US.

I don't know why all of the stations that sell TTG don't affix a label to their pumps or even why that should make a difference to the consumer.Personally I want to know what kind of quality I'm getting when I fill up.A lot of stations at least will display the company's name that they operate under.You'll usually see it where the prices are displayed at curbside.For example it will say "Triple K" and under that it might say "Mobil" or "Exxon".
Like I originally said in the first post if you can get a better quality gas at the octane you want and at a similar price why would you settle for some unknown product? It isn't a fixall for older vehicles but it will over time help keep your vehicle running properly.
People think that maintaining their vehicle only involves an oil change and the occasional tuneup.On these newer vehicles the fuel you use is just as important as the other regular maintenance items.If you don't believe the "hype" then that is your choice.Some of you must think that TTG is an instant fix for a poorly running vehicle.If used in a newer vehicle you wont even notice the difference.That's the whole point.It helps to keep clean essential parts of your vehicle that you probably never even think about.
As a side note I'll say that when I traveled across country I had to take what was available.The occasional fill up with an unknown gas wont hurt anything.

I guess we've come a long way. I remember when an oil filter was an option..on some cars..not even thought of on others. Oil changes were supposed to be 2 -3000 miles. Gasoline had tetra-ethyl lead and cost 25 cents or less...and it was gasoline without alcohol. What will they think of next?? Oh..gasoline with Dawn detergent in it. Just kidding y'all just kidding. The world IS a different place.

6 Cylinder I use mid grade
V8's I use only premium gas
My Hot Rods I use ONLY PURE Gas premium with an additional additive of 104 octane booster. If I'm close to the drag strip I run their Sunoco 104 or Turbo Blue. With 10 1/2 - 11 compression ratio, I have too.
The only exception is in Wifeys 2008 RAV4 with the 3.5 V6 Lexus engine we only run Shell premium!
I run Shell gas 95% of the time. Our Shell Station has a nozzle for each grade. If I'm buying, paying for premium, I want every drop to be premium or mid grade, so on and so forth. I don't go to Kroger ETC and use their one nozzle and pump 1 - 1 1/2 gallons of what ever grade someone else, just pumped. I want what I pay for! I'm picky about my gas!!!

Your rules have no connection to what manufacturers have designed their engines to use. Nothing to do with cylinder count. Bad practice all around.
Higher octanes are meant to prevent detonation in higher compression engines. Waste of bux for engines designed for lower octane grades.

I'm not sure if the detergents in Top Tier gas is as useful in the newer direct injection engines. One of the purposes of the detergents is to clean the valves. In a direct injection engine, the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder (below the valves), not above. It isn't above the valves to clean them. Thus one of the concerns with GDI engines is the valves coking.
Manufacturers still recommend Top Tier fuel, but I'm not sure what it is accomplishing in a GDI engine.

I am vehemently opposed to using top tier gas in my vehicles! Of course, I have two diesel Ford pickup trucks and it would cause thousands of dollars worth of damage but......

I use Shell which is top tier. It is also priced within a penny or two of the other stations in my area whether "brand Name" or "No Name"

For: Deathgrip, I didnt see my BiL yesterday like I thought I was-he's staying at the plant he works at till whatever emergency problem is solved? Ill ask him when I get to see him.
