First, I should have known that I could not look at S&W revolvers and think that I'd be mighty pleased to own one ... as a single revolver. My search started with a .44 Magnum, but soon other calibers and models kept me awake at night. While I own a S&W 1911 (Gunsite) and a M&P Shield, their brothers and sisters don't call out at 2:00 AM. But all those revolvers. And this Forum does NOT help! All the wonderful choices for every occasion. All I can say is ... it's painful.

Any competent doctor would diagnose your insomnia is a symptom of the sever S&W revolver shortage in your home. Only reducing the shortage will alleviate your insomnia!

Maybe this will ease your pain. :D

Your on the road to recovery. You've fallen in with a fine group of enablers, and you live in Texas, one of the good states to seek a cure for what ails you. ;)

Welcome.
Give in to the power.

I just picked up a beautiful 586 from a guy who said he has 18 more Smith's in his safe. I gotta' say my little (current) collection 5 has me a bit envious.

The nice thing is that at least so far you can ease the pain easily in Texas and the addiction, and it is an addiction, can't get you arrested. So far, anyway.

I recommend you purchase a model 629 classic with a 5 or 6 inch barrel and preferably a partridge front sight as soon as you can. I promise it will be your favorite...until the next one.

Face it, Traxless, you are doomed.

These enablers will continue to grease the slippery slope into S&W revolver accumulation.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
