Holy cats, it has one of the best polymer gun triggers I've shot. Better than my Glocks or other M&Ps. Even has a nice reset.

It's my new favorite gun and accurate as well.

VERY happy with my purchase.
Have it loaded up with 230grn HSTs now.

I was just at one of my fav sporting stores and was checking out the Shield 45. My first comment to the sales person was, " this trigger is amazing."
The grip shape and texture was equally fabulous. I think this may very well be their best semi auto ever. Congratulations......I will be joining you soon.

Congrats on the 45 Shield. I've had mine for a couple of months now. I had debated all summer whether I was even truly interested in one until....I finally got my hands on one and realized how excellent the trigger was. I was sold on the spot. It is a fine weapon.

Well, your experiences mirror mine to an extent. Taste is subjective, but I liked the .45's trigger better than the 9's. The reset felt shorter to me.

A friend of mine got to try out my .45 Shield at the range not long ago. He too made a comment about the "really smooth trigger" that made it "easier to shoot than [his] Glock."

I'm not even really a fan of .45 Auto, but everything about this pistol from the ergonomics to its shooting characteristics makes it a hands-down "winner" for me.

And boy, can it shoot. :D

No, I was not TRYING for that group in the photo. That was one magazine fired at 25 feet as fast as I got a flash sight picture.

Wife got me the .45 Shield for an early Christmas present, as the Main exchange at Camp Lejurne had a sale on... I have a 9mm Shield that I've been carrying for about a yr, so i was familiar with the format...

What a Sweet hear to shoot!... Not really much more recoil than her .45 1911 compact.... Nice to carry..

400 rounds through it, not a bobble... The only rounds that have been out of the 10 ring at 10 yrds, have been my fault...

Now for a few more magazine!

I picked up a Shield 45 this afternoon. Was able to shoot a friends a few weeks ago and was impressed with it.

I agree that the trigger is good. Mine breaks at 6lbs (right were I prefer my SF triggers to be on EDC/HD guns) but it's a nice break.

Though the take up isn't as smooth as my other M&P's (Apexed and polished), I think its pretty good for out of the box. About the best M&P stock trigger I've encountered.

The ergos of the Shield 45 are about the best. Weight distribution, grip size and angle, and trigger reach along with a great trigger, make it very difficult to miss center mass unless you are trying to or just can't shoot

Natural point ability of the Shield 45 for me is unequaled, from the holster to target is as natural as pointing your finger

Got a 9mm Shield early on and did the Apex trigger thing to make it right, got a .40 and didn't like it. Checked out the 45 just for comparison and took one home. Let a buddy dump one mag through it and he was off to the LGS to get him one. Since getting the 45, I have dumped 2 Glocks...

What weight bullets were you using? Looks like they are tumbling.

230 grain Federal ball, of course. FMJ round nosed bullets never really punch clean holes in paper like a semi or full wadcutter would.

Just picked up a Shield 45 today at a PA Gun Show. Took it home and field stripped and cleaned/lubricated. Have to say the gun was loaded with factory oil/grease. Anyway, can't wait to get it out to the range this week. It was an early Christmas present!! My daily carry is the Shield 9 for a couple years now. Looking forward to the Shield platform with the bigger round! Need to also start thinking of night sights, mag holders and holster.

I do agree with y'all. I just got the Shield 45 a couple of weeks ago. I finally got a chance to shoot it on Tuesday. Really impressed by that firearm. The grip does the job in my hand. Heavy slide spring, but it is moving a 45 round!! Easy to hold with either mag although I do prefer the larger. Trigger and reset is smooth and dependable. 150 rounds and never a miss or anything else. Accurate, easy to shoot, white dot sights are fine, just a nice firearm. Glad I bought it. A good addition to the CCW group!!!

Congrats on the Shield 45. Great gun and fun to shoot. Sold my Glock 36 when I got the Shield. Nuff said.

I just got my .45 Shield last week. Was quite surprised at how accurate it is right out of the box. Reliably shoots point of aim. I was consistently hitting a 3.5" diameter target at ca. 50 ft. Intuitively, it shoots as well as any of my carry guns.

I checked around on the web and ordered from Cabela's. Never bought a gun from them before. $375 + tax seemed like a fair price. I've paid a lot more for guns I don't like nearly as well.

I just picked mine up from PSA for $370 which I though was an excellent price. One range trip and 200 rounds (coated SWC) through it, and I'm quite impressed. I had no function issues, accuracy at 7 yd was good, and recoil was easily managed. With a loaded 7 rd mag, it weighs about 28 oz, a good size and weight combo for a carry 45 auto IMO.

I'm seeing them for $450 at Cabelas, did I miss a good sale?...

Apparently so. They were $374.99 shipped to the store for the last couple weeks. I ordered mine on the 19th of December. They were still on sale on the 30th. Must have ended first of the year.

I did find them for as little as $370 online, but shipping made them more expensive...besides having to pay my local FFL a small transfer fee. So that's why I went to Cabela's.
