First CZ, a special one

Decided to try the CZ 75b. It's got an impeccable reputation and served well for many militaries.

Found this NIB CZ 75b that features a matte stainless sides with a blasted finish on the top and bottom. Came with the cocobolo grip panels.

I like the ergonomics on this one. Compared to my Beretta 92, it's very sleek and thin.

Anyone else a fan of the CZ75b? Any advice or comments? Thanks

Yes, I have a pre-B CZ85, since I'm a lefty. You don't want pre-B guns because they can be very, very difficult to find magazines for. I agree, the CZ feels way better than the big Beretta. A great gun.

I have a cz85db which is a amberdexterious cz75. I feel it's the best 9mm pistol today. I'm glad I waited till I really found one that impressed me.

Maybe it's the photo but the finish looks different than the the Matte finishes I've seen. It looks brushed. Here is the matte 75 from the web site.

I'm not inclined to make many mods to that platform, but if you are Cajun and CZ Custom have all kinds of tricks.
The sights are usually the weak link in the platform and that sharp edge on the mag base plate can be swapped with a smooth radius one.

If you want to do a bunch of dry-fire practice and give the firing pin a break, you can squeeze a small o-ring (faucet repair type) over the end of the firing pin into the notch in the slide where the hammer falls and drop the hammer on the o-ring.

You're right, it's more a brushed stainless. There is a definite horizontal 'grain' to the finish

Looks like you've got upgraded sights and more aggressive slide serrations. Some people have issues retracting the low profile slide so those new serrations probably help.

Heck yeah, this one is so nice. I love the finish. Unusual and good looking. I am waiting to take delivery of mine. I decided on the shadow tac II due to the custom shop race trigger and lack of . I firing pin safety mechanism. I also like the old school look of it. Yours looks even better. Sold my Beretta 92 long time ago as it was great but clumsy.

My CZ75b is a two tone. I believe the frame is brushed nickel. Great shooter!

CZ advertised it as a 'Limited Edition'. BigWheelZip pointed out the differences.

I forget when and why but that is a factory finish they had some time ago.

For an added extra somewhere in time I picked up a real nice TZ 75

In my humble opinion, they are all very well made handguns!

My CZs are the vz.50, vz.52 and the 75bd Police. The first two were my first handguns. The 75 is my most recent. Far and away the best pistol I own, or have shot. Not to say that my experience is that broad, but I am not looking for anything better.

I have a Tanfoglio clone TZ75 and a CZ SP01 Shadow. That platform is a excellent one for sure. The grips on my SP01 are just like yours but in rubber and they fit my hands like no other.

The two tone is my stainless steel CZ 75B with the CZ Kadet .22LR Conversion kit attached. Even though I could switch it to 9mm Luger in a half a minute, I like to shoot it with the .22LR and then shoot the CZ 85 Combat in 9mm Luger. The ergonomics and controls are identical.
