I also think of him as the lifer in The Green Mile that they used for practicing the electrocutions. He had himself a good long life at least. 91 ain't no spring chicken for sure.

He added something special to everything we was in.
Like this Dwight Yoakum Video.
There is another well known character actor in this well done video.
Do you like that Ford?

Burt (or was it Curt) in Rancho Deluxe.

" Miz Brown says Hoover, I just Hoover."

"She was almost like...Bambi."

"You are the only ones we've talked to, so you're the rustlers."

What an actor and what a career he had. That's Curt on the right and Burt on the left in Rancho Deluxe, one of the funniest and cleverest movies I have ever seen. HDS was a big part of that.

I didn't recognize the name but the face I saw in many movies. He was an actor with his own style. I remember him quite often smiling, his sense of humor, in his movies. I didn't know he sang, he had a good voice as well.

Here he is singing the perfect song remembering him.

Here is another video of him showing his humor and talents.

I didn't recognize the name, but the face was quite familiar, given the number of movies he's been in. Didn't know about his singing, but he was quite good. Always sad when a real talent passes on. R.I.P., Mr. Stanton. You led a good life.

Harry Dean Stanton was a totally unique individual, both as an actor and as a person.

When asked about life once, he replied, "It gets tiresome after a while."

Harry Dean Stanton's final film, Lucky, is due for release on September 29.

There's also a great documentary about him titled Partly Fiction.
