Your favorite car?

My favorite was and still is my '67 Corvette Stingray 327ci/325hp, Metallic Burgundy with leather seats. We took it to Anchorage, AK (should have stored it here in LV). I bought a VW Bug to drive during the winter, but it didn't have much of a heater so the wife would still drive the 'Vette. Well, she got hit at an intersection by a drunk 'lady' who slid thru the stop sign on snow packed street. The 'Vette was rebuilt, but it was never quite the same. I started becoming 'suspect' of that wife about then. We divorced a few years later. Wish I still have that 'Vette pre-accident. ...

...I always wanted to take a short ride in one of these...

Without a doubt, the new Aston Martin DB11. Delivery should start the first quarter of next year. The db11 is an update of the db9... it brings the car into the 21st century. She is one sexy lady. Come on Powerball.lol

1967 Corvette convertible, 327/350hp, M-22 four speed, 3.70 posi, factory side pipes, goodwood green, saddle brown interior. First thing I bought when I got out of the Army in 1971. Yes, I still have it.

That power, trans, rear, set up was FAR superior to the big block set up. I had both. That was my personal experience. Why everybody is so keen on the big blocks leads me to believe they never drove both.

Want to own:

About anything with a Prancing Pony, especially a 288GTO

I've owned many good rides, all but one GM. Best of all time was a 2002 Impala with a 3.4 V6. I bought it new with my first really big pharma bonus check. Put 100K trouble free miles on it in 2 1/2 years and gave it to my son. He put another 100K but had to replace the exhaust pipes and then traded it. The engine still ran like new. I spilled some Sonny's BBQ sauce on the carpet when the car was new, always made me hungry getting in it. I bet that car is still running in some 3rd world country, somewhere. Joe

The 288 is merely WAY out of my budget; those would require not only a Powerball, but someone stupid enough to sell it to me for 1/10 of its value!...Last one I saw went at auction for about 30 million.

Besides, the 288 is THE daddy of all of the mid-engine cars since.

I would like to own a Porsche before I die, but, time is running out.

I can't believe this thread is a year old? How did I miss this one?
Two of my favorite cars of my youth I wish I could go back in time to set them aside so I could have them today!

My 442 was the first car I bought after getting out of high school, the Healy was my first English play car and stupid me I didn't know what I had at the time!
But that my friends is water over the dam.

My two current daily drivers take place as favs.... 2010 Chrysler 300C Hemi and my 2015 Dodge Ram truck with the Hemi as well! GM cars my whole life and now I'm back with two Chrysler products? ;)

I have to say...with almost a year and 10K miles.....my 2017 Camaro SS is simply BRILLIANT. Sounds as good or better than many of the old muscle cars I had, back in the day. Thanks to the dual mode, NPP exhaust option.

Handling and braking is outstanding.

It turns a mid 12 sec quarter mile time with boring regularity, Thanks to traction control and driver mode in the "Track" setting.

The software allows it to run on 4 or 6 cylinders until more power is required , resulting in near 30 mpg on the Interstate at 80 mph.

GM Has SURELY made some improvements in the past 50 years since the first muscle cars.

You guys with the new Camaros and Challengers would still be driving Toyotas if this car model had bombed. The 2005 Mustang. This is the year the Mustang went retro and mine was the 10th GT sold by the dealership. They sold 6 million of these before the redesign in 2010. Your choice when I bought this one was 6 cylinder or 8 hardtop, No convertibles. The Camaro was dropped in 2002 and the Challenger was a 70s car.

Still have it and it will still smoke the tires. The license plate shows what a darn good movie about a horse and a couple of shots of fine Tennessee sour mash will do for you.

I bought my grandparents 1967 Pontiac Catalina, two door.

It's the only car I wish I still had, for a couple of reasons.

My most favorite is my current ride. A 2008 Tahoe. It has been a good one.

In high school I had a 55 Chevy Bellaire 2 door sedan that Dad and I put a 270HP 283 Vette engine in.
I was also fortunate enough to get to know a Air Force pilot at the near by AFB.
He was TDY a lot and would leave his Cadillac V-8 powered J 2 Allard( see pictures) for me to drive.
Wow, what a car! :) :) :)

In college I drove a 59 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop, 348 ci,335 hp Vette close ratio 4 speed tranny.
Came back from Nam and bought a 67 Malibu 2door HT, 300 horse 327 ci..
In 82 I bought a 280 Z Nissan, it was a fun car for 4 years in Europe.

Those have been the favorites over the years, mixed in with some other good ones :) and a couple of so-so ones. :(

As "Cruisin' the Coast", a huge event of 50s,60s &70s cars, is going on
right now I have to sit back and chuckle. :) I did the "original"
here on the coast back in the 50s & 60s. :D :D

I graduated from High School in 1959 and attended a local college for three years. :)
I found that college was not for me at that point in life :( so I quit and went to work.
The draft board was licking their chops over that, so I enlisted in September of 1963
to only beat the draft by 2 weeks. :p

Ended up in RVN anyway, go figure.

Current one is my favorite. It's almost 7 years old. Some small mods and that's it. I upgraded the front dash speakers and added a catback exhaust (Solo Mach-X). I got tired of the warping stock front rotors and added slotted and dimpled Brake Performance ones. No more pedal shake I'm probably going to buy a new one before they go to the new chassis, based on the ALFA Guilia. No thanks.
