Birmingham Small Arms Co. (BSA)

I always loved the BSA small arms logo with the rifle tripod. Please forgive the off-topic, thread drift response but BSA means motorcycles to me! In 1967 as a senior in high school, I bought my 2nd motorcycle, a 1963 BSA Super Rocket. A single carb 650 cc beauty. Styling and performance were great but electrics not so much.

I hear ya loeman. Would have given my eye teeth to own a BSA Thunderbolt or Lightning with the chrome tanks back in 69!

I used to have a BSA A10, but this is about guns not bikes.

What you have sir is a fine Gentlemans 30/06. If it shoots well which I bet it does. Keep it, take out and enjoy a fine gun like it should be. 30.06 is a classic!

Yes got off the beaten track. Beautiful rifle and imagine would cost a bundle these days. Lot nicer than a Savage Axis or Remington 783. LOL

Now that Sir is a rifle, well done! That one has soul unlike most of the sightless plastic stocked contemporary rifles being offered today.

Yep said a mouthful Vulcan Bob. This one is a real treasure to pass down. Seems today even our "run of the mill" guns from the 60s-70s- 80s like our old Savage 99s, Remington 700, or Winchester 70s should be considered "higher end" guns today.
