NFL: Which Non Home Team Do you Most Enjoy Watching?

I boycotted all but one football game last year. I had to watch Army beat Navy with my USNA alum son-in-law. I cancelled ESPN last year too. This year I'll only watch Army and Navy again.

I never was a big college football fan, but I won't support them either after all the nonsense on college campuses lately.

There are 130 or so colleges that have football programs. Sports are ONE thing where you might THINK you know how it will turn out, but you can never be SURE.

I stopped watching the National Fools League.

Before I stopped, I noticed one thing. The station here that usually broadcast games played by my home team stopped showing the opening ceremonies, including the singing of the National Anthem. That was pretty much the last straw for me.

ESPN:
"In the month of October 2016, ESPN lost a whopping 621,000 subscribers who switched cable/satellite plans or dropped their plans entirely. That's more than the number of people that watch many of its analyst-driven shows. And even though this is the worst month for the network, it's not at all the first alarming exodus of viewers. In 2011, ESPN had 100.1 million subscribers, which is where things peaked, and now the numbers have dipped down to just over 88 million, with around 4.2 million of those 12 million subscribers leaving just in the last year. This is not a trend that appears to be going away, especially with more sports networks, websites and streaming platforms becoming available. (Perhaps the Hulu deal will help, but probably not that much.)
I read somewhere that they lost another 500,000 subscribers this year so far but can't find the source now.

Last year I quit watching the Browns as they've gotten worse every year. This year I'm done with the NFL because of the protests by the players. I now watch college football only.

PERHAPS A NEW THREAD IS IN ORDER? "WHY I WON'T WATCH THE NFL".

THIS ONE asked what non local teams you like to watch, NOT IF or why you DON'T WATCH. Other sports to follow suit??? I'm all for the freedom for EVERYONE to choose Whatever they want to watch, OR NOT. No hard feelings.

No more NFL for me for now. Not even watching my home team.

I could be convinced to try it again in a year or two if they right the ship as I am a forgiving man. For now I'll find something else to do with my time instead of watching a bunch of thug gangster wannabes who show no respect for the country that gave them an opportunity to make millions of dollars playing a game.

Edit - I always enjoyed watching the Lions on Thanksgiving. Otherwise I would watch the Packers from time to time.

11 minutes of action in two hours, get buried in commercials, and then the ungrateful, rich bums get disrespectful. Not my idea of something worthwhile so I am now an ex Philadelphia fan. Now I'm here on the Forum.[/QUOTE

Exactly the way l feel. l could care less about scores or anything else relating to todays sports.Absolutly no impact on my life.

Holy cow, I think there was about 8 answers to the OPs question...out of 30-some replies.

I'll be the bad guy here, but I like watching Brady and the Pats. He seems to get things done with a new group of guys every year, mostly players that other teams didn't have a use for.

I've sworn off. Haven't seen a game all year and contrary to what I thought the world keeps spinning on it's axis. May be a permanent change for me after a 53 year run with the same team. I'd consider coming back if Goodell is fired and the league apologizes. Till then...they can stick it.

I don't really have a "home team" in spite of the fact that everyone around here seems to think the Washington Redskins are "our" team. Never understood that. We're in Richmond, not Washington.

Having said that, the team I like to watch lately is the Packers. No idea why, other than they're not the Redskins.

I seldom watch an entire game, but will switch back and forth from something else. That's why they put a "go back" switch on my remote.

To me a veteran, the OP's question struck a nerve.

Almost like "hey guy's I'm watching the brave men of the NFL who won't stand up for our Flag, Country, National Anthem and the suckers who sacrificed so they can play a game".
