Local shop for $325 out the door...looks like it was fired a few times and put in a drawer. Box and extra mag included.

If you convert that puppy to 10mm can you please give us a range report that includes details on recoil. It's gotta be nasty!

IMO, the worst part of S&W discontinuing the 3rd Gen guns was the loss of the CS line of sub-compact pistols. I just love them.

I didn't know such a thing was possible. Interesting .

Don't do it. In my opinion, the 10mm cartridge unmercifully batters the frame.

Convert to 45acp instead.

Easier, quickly reversible, and no rare parts are harmed in the conversion.

I've done it to mine.

You got a great deal on a great pistol.

It will most likely stay a 40. I thought the frame looked a bit small for the 10MM.. Plus I don't think I'd like the recoil.

That's good news!

The CS40 is a very versatile pistol. I've had mine 15 years and I've never experienced a single malfunction.

If you would like some ideas on a bunch of non-permanent mods and enhancements for the pistol you might want to look at this thread:

I'll say it was a steal!! Did not think one could be had for less than $550 in that shape. Hope you bought a lottery ticket when you left the LGS. Lucky day indeed.

YOU STOLE THAT GUN!!!
Not at all. If the OP paid that little, what do you think the LGS paid for it? Its the guy who sold that gun to the store who got robbed. Gun stores make 3 times the profit on used guns, vs new guns. Believe me, the selling LGS was happy with the deal. The OP was happy with the deal. Its the guy who traded it in who lost big time. GARY

Obviously the CS10 is not for everyone.

As to recoil, it is less recoil than shooting a Model 60 or 640 chambered in 357 Magnum. It is less recoil than shooting most of the Night Guard revolvers with full power ammunition

I find it to be controllable and reliable

John,
If your CS10 "unmercifully batters the frame" then you failed to re-spring the gun as specified in the various conversion threads here on the Forum.

Mine make GREAT little pocket pistols.
