Looks pretty awesome! Can't wait to see one in person.

What's old shall be new again. Yippie
Will you his be a two barrel or is it a traditional barrel

Looks pretty nice to me ... possibly meaning that a 2.75 version might be coming in a year or two. The blued finish on the recent S&W's - I've seen two 586's at the LGS - have been very nice.

I hope they do something different

4" round butt

3.25" round butt

Just do something DIFFERENT.

The grip frame of the 4.25" is only visible to about the top of the medallions, from there down the grips cover the entire frame. It would make sense for it to be a round butt because of this.

My first S&W...still my favorite...was losing it's ' sparkle ' so I installed some hand made ( not my hands ) grips on it and it's a brand new gun...thanks to S&W for bringing back a classic...

It is a round butt UncleEd, and they also released a 3" PC model. I agree completely though, always more whining than appreciation we got anything we wanted.

My M29-10 Classic is a square butt, so it wouldn't surprise me if the M19 was SB as well.

That said, this is a reissue of one of the most common revolvers ever made. Surely they could have done something interesting like a 2", 2.5", 3", or 5" barrel.

With the current craze for 3" guns, it is incomprehensible that they would "introduce" a gun and not offer a 3" barrel. Yes, I saw the 3" PC M19, but that is a staggeringly hideous gun.

Makes me wonder who their target demographic is for these. Many my age won't own one with a lock, and many, if not most, younger folks seem to prefer semi-autos. With the REAL "classics" still fairly abundant, where do these fit in? Personally, I don't need any brand new S&W's, but I believe having them remain in business certainly enhances our hobby, and I'm sure they've done their market research, but it would be fun to know exactly what they're thinking sometimes. Good shootin',
Doug
