I saw the "new" Model 19's for the first time, a few days ago. I liked it enough to put one on layaway, the first brand new Smith and Wesson I've bought in 40 years or so. I already have a Model 69 (purchased used) that has many of the features discussed here and have no problems with it.
I'm looking forward to getting the 19 out of detention in a couple of weeks.
