I was in my metal building and heard a racket up near the roof I looked out the door up in the eaves I saw this snake and his prey. The shed has a double roof so birds sometimes net in there and snakes go after them, I have heard them squabbling before but this was the first time I had seen them, no telling how they got this contorted but it ended badly for the bird I'm sure. I use this picture as my avatar on this forum.

We hit the big cat rescue this weekend for another visit so thought I'd plop a couple more kittie pix here. Those cats are just beautiful to sit and watch. Though sad to read their stories on how they ended up in a WI location to be cared for....
I am still working on getting good images when zooming thru fencing but at least some pix turned out ok.
I was lucky enough to video a family of Kit Foxes a few years back. It's Mom, Dad, and 4 pups. They usually only have 2-3 max, so 4 was a treat. We approached them slowly over a couple of days on our ATV and I was finally able to get within 50 of their den. A once in a lifetime event.
I went to Mt. Rainier Natl. Park last week, and while the weather was not conducive to good mountain photos, I did get a shot of a Stellar jay. The lights from the vehicle next to me reflecting on my windshield lit up his hind end, something I didn't notice until I got home and saw it on my PC. It looks like I feel after a good burrito!
I was at Ridgefield National Wildlife Preserve near Vancouver, Washington this afternoon, and caught a young nutria (or muskrat) chasing away an egret!
