My cat Timmy, gone

I echo the sentiments of the previous posters. My Bella is stretched out here beside me as I type this. Lucky is wandering around here someplace. We lost our older tuxedo back in I think April, and I know how heartbroken we were. Glad to see that you are getting a rescue to adopt!!

Best Regards, Les

Been there many times, but it still hurts, sometimes a lot, when the next one comes along. I feel your hurt, and I'm sorry for your loss. i find Maine Coons are particularly endearing, with their head butts, bird sounds and overall sweetness.
I hope you have another little buddy to keep you company, or if you don't, you can find another one after the pain eases a bit. It's worked for us many times.
The attachment has helped me after losing a small friend at the vet:

Sir , I feel your pain . We had our beloved Sweat Pea put to sleep about three weeks ago and I am still grieved . She was found by me (or is it She found me ?) on my back porch . Emaciated , in heavy nursing condition . I brought her some food and water . Next day I come home from work and there she is on my front porch with her only kitten nursing on her , Needless to say they were both brought in , fixed , de-flea and fed . Sweat Pea was my Cat . Always at the door when I came home , first in my lap when I sat down And first on the bed at night . I had her cremated and put in an kitty shaped urn . I will have to go through this again four more times if I out live Piper ,Gemma-Lee , Oscar and Mauser . Sweat Pea was the second family member to be put to sleep the first was very first Cat Schatzie . It doesn't get any easier for me as I Love them All Dearly . You are not alone in your grief . And I pray for your comfort in these sad times .
Regards and Prayers ,
Shawn

Sorry about Timmy. :(

We get attached to our little companions easily. Kidney failure took my Maine Coon (below) too & I said that'll be my last cat, but that didn't last long.

Hopefully you'll find another buddy to fill the void. :)

I again want to thank everyone for the kind replies.

Yes they are family! My two kids are in their 40s and long out of the house. As we retired in 2003 spend plenty of time with our cats

I like to consider myself a tough guy, heck my father was a undertaker and I grew up in the business. Go to admit Tim's rather sudden death hit us real hard. He was extremely friendly and had a super good personality and tended to act more like a dog than a cat many times.

As for the other cat I mentioned, we watch him close and when the time comes we will not let him suffer.

Both my wife and I are proponents of quality of life and will do what we have to do!
