What has happened to men's jeans

Been a Wrangler fan most of my life but I also like the Carhartt and some time the Dickies.

As for most of these new skinny jeans they are made for the "new" man of the 21st century I guess. They just don't make men like they used to.:)

Carhartt, but my new favorite is the C. E. Schmitt jeans from Tractor Supply.

I try to buy American made when ever I can. Right now I'm wearing Texas Jeans. They are made in the USA, But not in TX but NC. LOL!
They are 34.99 per pair. If you buy Three pairs at a time, shipping is for free.
They fit well and look good.

I can remember when I was a kid my mother bought me new jeans to wear to school and they were so stiff and uncomfortable that when you took them off they would stand up by themselves!!!
Your right, I remember my mother would starch my jeans, and then put this metal frame inside the legs, so later they would hold their shape. Looked like Frankenstein walking down the street when I first put them on.

I wear LL Bean Jeans (natural fit) and they are still pretty decent quality. The bonus here is they have extra deep and strong front pockets for you know what!

At some point jeans stopped being a fashion statement for me. About the time I was ready to give up on Levi's.

I made the switch to khaki pants for comfort and room where it counts, and have been happy ever since. Its the only way to go if you prefer loose boxers over briefs.

Stopped in a used mens clothing store in town and found a not real faded pair of 505 over 15 years old made of the old heavy weight denim material...Straight seems WOW fit true size 30 waist was a real 30, 32 inseem was 32, not like Levies today waist is bigger than advertised and the rest are skimpy...I don't even understand that mind set...Levi denim is not what it used to be...light and flimsy...Actually Wrangler 13mwz are still the best...but I come from the Levi generation, even when Levi was the PRCA sponser....That my friends was a long time ago.....

Guys have it Easy!

You guys have no clue the issues with jeans/pants/khakis! Women's sizing is a farce at best and a horrible attack at worst. You can never depend on any size being the same fm manufacturer to manufacturer. And if you actually have hips an curve well, good luck!

Call them jeans, blue jeans, dungarees, whatever, has anyone noticed the great American pair has become a rag that fits nobody over the age of 16.

After being a life long Levis 505 wearer I have recently discovered they don't care about clothing the aging baby boomer, you know, the demographic that kept them alive and an American icon sought out throughout the world.

I usually resupply bluejeans about every 5 or 6 years and was horrified to find the new version sucks. Sits below the waist and is as thin as tissue paper and poorly made.

Found refuge in Lee, still a nice heavy fabric that sits at the waist where people my age need to wear them.

If you haven't been to the store, you're in for a rude awakening.

I wear Wrangler or Duluth Trading Post. Wrangler are assembled in old Mexico using American material, and the DTP are imported. I will say that the DTP jeans are very well made, and have the "ballroom" feature for extra room for the "boys" as it were, and they are made with a very stout material, and finished to a tee. I swore off Levi Strauss for political reasons.

I wear carpenters jeans...They are roomy and I like the leg pockeys for stashing stuff in. They have big enough belt loops to fit wide belts. They are my low rent "tactical" pants...

My waist measures 36” but I buy 38” jeans b/c the “right” fit is too uncomfortable. I like a little room to grow during the day.

I ware Wranglers or I ware nothing at all.

Wrangler jeans fit me well, and were at Target frequently for $15.99-$19.99 each. They have discontinued carrying Wrangler in the last month or so, and now exclusively carry stuff for smaller people. Good thing that I stocked up.

Reading the instructions....

... and refill info on a medicine bottle. Sometimes I get my reading glasses and still can't make them out. Then I add my hand magnifier under a bright light and tell the person on the phone what I THINK it says.

And shirts..... You have to comb through the 'Gigolo' cuts with the narrow waist and the broad shoulders for an 'Old Fart' cut with narrow shoulders and extra wide hips.
