I know you just wanted Model 10s but as you build out your K frame snub collection you must have a Model 15 also.

Already do sir. I have one just like that, a -3 snub and it's one of my favorite guns ever. It's what got me to like the SB on K frames. It is beautiful and it's in mint condition. Got it for a new Sig I bought for much cheaper than most are going for and a Bersa Thunder 380 Combat and I don't miss either. That was my first Smith. I have since added a pair of twin Model 36's, one nickel and one blue. That's where I currently stand. My 64-2 is almost off layaway, but not yet. Already got my magna grips in the mail for it. Just waiting until I can pay it off. Closest I could get to a RB Model 10 snub at the moment.

Oh, and I HAVE to have a nickel 15 snub as well one day! I've seen one and I loved it.

The 2nd gun is a 1948 vintage M&P Snubby. S/N just into the C prefix range... I like this one because she is worn out. Used hard but nort abused. pre Model 10

The pre model M&P's are nice too! I really dig the top one though. That gun is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Certainly not a show piece like some here, but definitely a working piece. This is a 10-5 that was eventually made mechanically sound but was a complete basket case finish wise when I got it. It looked like it had spent the last 20 years being gnawed on by a beaver with titanium teeth and vinegar piss! There were dents and gouges all over it, it looked like it had seized up one time and some genius used a hammer to beat it open judging by the pattern of damage on the cyliner. Completely disassembled it down to the last pins and screws, soaked the metal in watered down vinegar to get what was left of the finish off, draw filed the worst dents out and stripped the awful painted stocks, and did a rust blue on it. Homemade Danish oil on the stocks (turpentine and satin polyurethane). Still a few nicks here and there but it is at least presentable now. She looks even better wiped down to remove the handling / carry smudges all over her. I’ve re-done a few 870’s in the rust blue, but this was my first handgun. Definitely a bit more challenging, but looks good (enough) in the end. A few crappy cell phone picks to go with the utilitarian nature of the revolver!

I learned to do S&W action work on a 2" model 10 back in the early '70s. I think it was a square butt.

I have been meaning to get back to you, I never got a chance to comment and every time I came back, I got distracted by more pics, but that is a really great drawing. Very very well done. I can't draw a stick figure to save my life so I love nice hand drawn things especially stuff I like such as a revolver. Very cool. I saved that picture to my phone.

My LNIB 10-5.

Very nice! I love the diamond magna stocks a lot. Especially on a blued smith. They look awesome. I tried to bid on one a while back that came with them, I believe they were stock on the gun, but it looked amazing. I love that they seem to have a slightly darker finish than the magnas without the diamond. I have diamond magnas on my blued Mod. 36 and I love them.
