My wife and I went to a special TMC Anniversary showing of Gone with the Wind.
The movie was shown in its original format and it was the first time I’ve ever seen the entire film. Quite an epic picture for its time!
Now the theatre is one that has the new recliner seats and a swing out tray tables attached. Just great for my coke and my pop corn.
Now when going to the movies I always turn off my phone since I don’t want to be disturbed and I won’t disturb anyone else. I sit and munch out as quiet as can be,no slurping my drinks and so forth
Since this was a special showing it was sold out. Now next to my wife come the ladies auxiliary of let’s have a night out group and takes their seats up from wife. The one directly next to her plops down her shopping bag of movie goodies and her lunch bag. This bag lady was munching and unwrapping stuff all night, crunching her water bottles and even at one point trying to take over my wife’s table? What a slug! At one point this dipsheet even takes off her shoes and socks! If you need to be that comfortable stay the heck home! The freaking rudeness of some people.
Now the rag bag next to me has her pop corn bag wrinkle crunching through the film until she finishes it while slurping on her beverage. Twice her phone rings off, she belching. Had to make comments through out the whole film.
Had to put up with this for a 4 hr picture.
I was ready to reach around and slap both of those rude cretons.
But I must say I did enjoy the movie.
C’mon people show a little respect and courtesy!
I like that TMC gets together and does this with participating theatres.
I said to my wife afterward just think how much better this film would have been if Mel Brooks would have directed! :D

With so many available offerings for viewing in the comfort of my home, I don't see the need to intentionally subject myself to irritants anymore.

However, taking a six year old to see a high-dollar animated kid flick is another matter. Watching and listening to all the kids (and adults) laughing and giggling is well worth the trip.

Our last flicker show:

It seems like the thinking now-a-days is " I will do what I want when I want and to hell with everyone else ." Outside of the road , I think the most popular place for this thinking is the movie theatre . At least you didn't have someone behind you kicking your seat throughout the movie which ALWAYS seems to happen to me .

The other week we went to see Stan and Ollie which was a limited viewing in a performing arts theatre, very small and limited.
Of course it was all older people familiar with the movie characters and it was enjoyable with no issues.
Took my granddaughter last week to see the Legos movie,,,it was doing the week and we were the only ones in the theatre, it was enjoyable but did that movie stink!
It was good to see Gone in the Wind on the Big Screen as it was made for in its original format. It’s just a shame some people are Class A Losers and don’t have the brains they were born with!;)
On a side night they must have run some special short buses out from the local Nursing homes as well,,, a lot of the assisted walker crowd was there most who probabley seen it in 34 when it came out! :D

Rusty,,,,on your thoughts,,,, A medium Coke and a medium Pop Corn cost me $13.75 and I had to serve myself?

You should have helped her remember to bring her feedbag.

They do not do any different because they never learned any different.
