I have a soft spot for all things 3".....N frames......K frames......J frames.....all S&W frames.

Here are 3 that I haven't posted before. Two are new additions and one is an old favorite.

How many of you have a 'thing' for the 3" lovelies? Post 'em up!

I'll start -

I really like a good 2.5 or a 3". I almost think the full length ejector rod is a little overhyped.

60-10 in 3"
19-3 in 2.5"
66-1 in 2.5"
64-6 in 3"
686-6 in 3"

The 2.5" model 19 will actually outshoot the 3" 686 and the 3" 60.

Ugh. A 3" NY1? Please let me know if you ever want to trade or sell it. I need a 3" to go with my 4" RB NY1. I'm in Richmond. Sucks I had to work today. What'd you get it for?

$552 OTD. Came from the pawn shop people in SW VA who come to all the shows.
Thought it was fair and doesn't appear to have many rounds through it. I would like to know where the stocks came from.

Snagged this one today at the Richmond gun show..M64 NY-1.

Might be Ahrends Boot Grips. If they are they should have his name on the inside. (well at least mine do)

Here is my contributions to the love of 3 inch barrels:

Here is my 64-3 3" NY-1 with my 3" 650

The 650 is from fellow forum member and dear friend IBSandy who left us way to early. I smile every time I hold the gun as I know he would knowing I taught my sons to shoot with this little j frame with the .22LR conversion cylinder that it shipped from the factory with.

The NY1 is from the first run of of DAOs produced for the NYPD with satin finish and serial number on the butt only.

This was shipped to and purchased from the NYPD Equipment section and although retired from service use in favor of a Semi auto is still one of my favorite guns to shoot.
