686-6 tools?

New member here.... been seeing a lot of postings referring to guns purchased with original box and tools...
My question, what kind of tools come or came with s&w revolvers, specifically a 686-6 I am looking to purchase. Not that it makes that much difference, I have lots of tools, just curious what they came with. Does come with original box.
It is a 6" model... was looking for older no lock model but couldn't pass it up at 500 bucks for nice clean tight model, looks barely used.

The 686-6 is the current production. Mine from 2018 did not have any tools.

Here' my 2003 5" 686-6 and I don't recall any tools either. Maybe they had already been tossed but not likely considering who I got it from.

That is a good question , which model S&W handguns came with cleaning tools?

I bought mine new. Keys (2), manual, case and brown paper. I think that's about it.

Thanks for the responses... I bought a new 586 back in the early 90's, don't recall any tools coming with that one either

the answer we are looking for is when did the tools stop...?

All Smith revolvers used to come with a nice screwdriver for sight adjustment. I still have a couple.
The no dash 686 (mid 80's) I just bought only came with the box and brown paper. It might have had a screwdriver at one time, who knows ?
I'd like to know when S&W stopped shipping them with the guns.

My 1983 686 no-dash came with tools but its 10 years older than my -6.

Its black from being shot a lot and not cleaned.

Here it is all cleaned up with its original target stocks.
