Random Object Photographs

I bought a used camper 4-5 weeks ago.
Its a 1995 Lance 945 camper and its a 11' 3" camper.

These 3 before photos were from the ad.

I guess these really aren't "random" pictures.
I took these this morning.

I replaced the old 1" aluminum blinds with nicer cellular shades, removed the old linoleum flooring and put in new, bought all new bedding and replace the older non functioning built in generator with a new one. And I've done tons of cleaning. :D

The camper is 24 years old but came from a dry climate and is structurally sound with no signs of there ever being and water leaks.

Here's a short video if you want to be bored a little longer. ;)

Good Grief, Charlie Brown!
Kenny, you got more toys than Santa Claus!

Doc Hudson's relatives. ;)

I remember very well when the Hudson Hornet was king of the stock car races!

Was out making photographs one day and found this place not far from where I live. A junk yard full of what we now think of as classic cars.

When I saw this '49 Ford, I had to stop and just look and think for a while. We had one just like this one when I was growing up. Two-door coupe, and the same color blue. Three-speed on the column. Lots of memories associated with that old car. Since seeing this one in the junk yard, I've wondered if could actually be our old car. Who knows.

We had the '49 Ford for ten years...then dad traded it for a 1959 Ford.

I remember the '49 Ford very well; I almost bought one as my first car.

BUT I wound up with this '50 Chevy instead.

I seems I've always been a Chevy fan!

Baobab Trees

I took these at a sugar cane plantation in Tanzania in the late 1970s. In one frame you can see the "Snows of Kilimajaro" in the background. The other is a "bee tree" the tubes hanging from the branches are actually Honey bee hives, every so often they are lowered and the honey is collected. Then they are raised up away from predators till the next harvest.
Supposedly, African legend has it that long ago this tree displeased a God, the God uprooted the tree and stuck the tree back into the ground, but, upside down, so what you see looks like the roots of a normal tree, and they have grown that way ever since.

My old High School building which is now the Middle School.

Built in 1914. Things were different back then.

I remember in elementary school that when the morning bell rang the girls went in one entrance the the boys in another.

The entrances weren't marked like that and I had forgotten all about it.

I remember drills on the early 60s where they would sound an alarm and everyone would head for the fallout shelter under the school.

Several classrooms had trap like doors in the closets with ladders and went down into the shelter.

There were 100s of Clorox bottles filled with drinking water down there too.

This was my first car TV. I had it installed in my 5.0L Mustang just over 7 years ago.

I had this one installed in my pickup about 5 years ago.
My truck is a regular cab. I have a custom 8" Pioneer sub woofer and enclosure, two JLAudio amps and 8 Hertz speakers.

I drive a lot. I average about 30,000 miles a year and this makes it soo much more enjoyable.

I just bought 3 Diana Krall live in concert DVDs and can't wait to hit the road again. :D
