Finished up mowing my 6 acre yard this afternoon, hopefully for the final time this season. The maple trees are just starting to show some fall colors here in the middle of October . . . I'm ready for autumn, my favorite season.

Gonna hit it tomorrow. Don't know if it'll be the last cut, but it will be the last trim & edge.

I don't celebrate the last lawn cutting of the season as much as I celebrate the last leaf clean-up. Then I get to look forward to snow ... seems like a never ending cycle of drudgery ...

My grass isn't that long right now so I'll probably wait a week or so for most of the leaves to drop so I can chop leaves and mow at the same time.

I'm sure it's a lot of work but I envy your property! Very nice place!

Well, it's a process. I mow about an hour and a half with the tractor and 60" finish mower, then another 30 minutes with my 54" zero turn to mow places where the tractor is too big. Then about 15 minutes with the push mower up close to the house and other areas where the tractor and zero turn won't fit. Then about 30 minutes with the weed eater.

I mostly enjoy my time on the tractor or zero turn, not so much with the weed eater.

Usually, the week of Halloween sees my last cutting both at home and at a remote property where my range is.
Will be glad to be done - Fall is extremely busy with deer season, and Fall fishing around my coastal neighborhood looks to be epic this year!
