Not sure this is the right place to put this, bet we have had what is your next purchase, what was your last purchase, so I decided to ask what are you going to get rid of in 2020?

For me:
2" 10-5
4" 10-5, 6" 10-7.
Walther Interarms PPK/S
NIB M19-4 3T

Maybe transitional NIB 629 ND
Couple shotguns

Couple rifles

Just not sure on the shotguns and rifles yet

**** Moderator move this if necessary, but I did not know where else to put it, Thanks****

I've always put my revolvers into 3 categories -

Shooters: This can mean anything from beater guns that spend time in the truck or 4-wheeler, my carry guns, to quite pristine guns that only get shot a bit then lovingly cleaned and put away. Key being, they all get shot on a monthly basis!

Safe Queens: These are guns (w/boxes, tools, etc) that I have collected over time and very much enjoy, but don't shoot as I want to keep them pristine. Most of these have less than a box of shells thru them and many have never been fired outside of the factory. My kids will eventually get them and frankly, they can do what they want with them. I enjoy these just as much as my "shooters" - I love to admire them (frequently).

Those in between the above categories: They aren't particularly valuable as "collectables" but are very nice 95%ish type guns that just don't get shot or brought out to admire. Rather, they just sit in my safes taking up space.

It's those in the 3rd category that I'm unloading as I type this. Just no reason to keep them. Couple are in the classifieds now with more coming.

Possibly my 66-1 , can't see the sights on it these days and I have a newer 66-5 and 586-4 that are drilled and tapped. But every time I pull the 66-1 out of the safe I always have second thoughts about parting with it.

Other that might see the chopping block:

586-8
Sig P226 E2
1979 Marlin 1894 44 mag
1996 Marlin 39AS
Ruger MKII 10"

I don't know which ones yet, but some rifles have got to find a new home.

At least one 91/30, and one M39 Finn (probably the VKT) are going to go away.

A couple 22s, and whatever else gets in my way when I look in the safe.

I need to thin the handguns, but cannot seem to get myself to do it.

I've got a couple that I have been thinking of letting go. Being there are no bears in Kansas and these two are in top shape they may have to go. They both seem to be quite popular, a no dash 610 with box, tools and paper and an 8 3/8" model 57 in the wooden case with tools. I really hadn't thought about price.

I have 3 pre-war 38/44 Heavy Dutys and I will get rid of 2

I have WAY too many M&P Model of 1905s and will likely get rid of 4 or 5 of them

I have duplicates of Model 39-2s and Model 59s and will likely get rid of a couple of each

I have 2 Brazilian's and will get rid of one

I have 5 1903 Colts and I may get rid of a couple

I have 2 Norinco TT Olympias and will get rid of one

I have a model 48-2 that I thought I wanted when I bought it, but it has been sitting in the safe, never fired by me. Also, a Kahr PM45 bought from an estate during a weak moment. An extremely nice gun, but polymer is definitely not my thing.

I figured it was time to send my 500 down the road so it'll be up for sale soon. I really don't have a good place to shoot it outdoors and it's NO fun shooting at my indoor range.
I'll be letting loose a couple of bottom feeders I wish I'd never bought years ago, a Sig P250 and a Taurus .380 pocket gun.

320 guns which are virtually my whole collection will be going up for auction in Feb 2020 at Morphy's Auction. There will be a lot of nice Smiths there along with other manufacturer's products.
Jim

Ilived 3 miles from Morphy's auction for 13 years, and never knew it was there. Good thing for me

Downsizing due to health issues and just not shooting as much as I use to.
So my Model 681 no dash and no M is on the chopping block.
Sorry no box.

Probably a 14-3 that's in the box. It's too pretty to shoot, so I might as well sell it to someone who will shoot it. :) I also have a Kahr 9mm that seemed like a good idea at the time, but I never ended up carrying it, so will sell it. And may my Norinco Hunter 7.62x39. Another rifle that I just had to have once, but the novelty has worn off.

I have a Colt AR 9mm. Seems it's getting a little collectible. It went on the road with me as I could shoot it at any pistol range. It's a great bit of fun, but it is sitting in the back of the safe, and I'm more focused on handguns right now. There may be a couple others.

A couple of Glocks, maybe one or two other semis I don't care much about.

I'm definitely at the point of maximum density in my safes.

Don't have any intention of parting with any of my guns.

I may consider selling or trading my Colt 1911 Series 80 Govt Model, but that would be a last resort kind of thing, and right now I don't foresee that situation happening. *knocks on wood*
