So What is on the Chopping Block for 2020?

No gun is sacred to me. I will get to divesting very soon, and actually have started. It's liberating, and I found out that I don't miss any of them at all.

I had a friend die suddenly @55 and he left his wife with over 200 guns, a boatload of ammo and reloading equipment, two very large safes, etc, to get rid of.

Talk about a mess.

The late gunwriter Dick Eades was a good friend of my parents.

I was invited to his house on several occasions when friends of his had passed and Dick was called upon to dispose of their guns.

When I knew him, Dicks collection was well over 400 guns. His wife Jean complained that every time a friend died, he ended up with their guns.

I evaluated what I have and dont shoot.....

SACS 1911 9mm will likely go soon.

I recently did an assessment of what I dont shoot anymore and argument with myself on selling these...

Model 15-3 Bob Jones PPC Barrel. no PPC in my area and have not shot it since 2014.
Model 29-4 5" Nelson Ford barrel install/tuned, maybe 30 rounds since the build 2014
Model 14-5 6" Bob Jones tuned, maybe less than 200 since I got this I think in 2011
Arsenal AK (still unfired bought new in 2015)
1 too many ARs (BCM)

I am always buying and selling but nothing has to go so no planned reduction. I am actively selling lesser guns for better guns whenever the opportunity arises. I have many guns that have no use to me but I just like them so I keep them. I have many I would love to shoot but never seem to get around to it even though all I have to is open the back door. I just like owning them and may just make me a hoarder?

2" M10. I've stopped trying to convince myself to like square butt guns. I just prefer RB.
4" M681. Ditto.
M60 Ladysmith. Always wanted a standard M60 and bought this instead. Very cool little magnum but i'm not as crazy about it as I thought I would be.
3953 - but I'm keeping a pair of 3913's

Like a few others i'll be whittling down my collection to a few pairs of some favorite models. My daughter and son will get their favorites from among the rest and the cash from selling them may get converted to one higher end something else. My father-in-law recently passed away and seeing what my wife and her siblings have had to deal with from what he left behind has me in a mode of simplifying things for me and eventually for my family. Not abandoning my favorite hobby. Just gonna go from a little over 20 guns down to about a dozen.

Not sure but I added a third safe, so I think I will add a few more, plus I have kids 25, 22, 21, 7 and 5 they all want some of my small collection.

I'll probably sell my 547 3" and my Model 34 4" in the spring for starters as I feel they are too nice to shoot and I'm getting tired of collecting too many things.

REGular model .357, 657 no dash, 27-7, 3566 Limited, 1955, few others that I just don't shoot anymore. Just sold 41 last weekend, that was a start.
