Plug your address into this site from the Federal Communications Commission, and it will show you which OTA (Over the Airwaves) channels you should be able to receive at your home.

We use a Mohu Leaf OTA antenna.

DTV Reception Maps | Federal Communications Commission

The output of the FCC site is a bit deceiving, because each "Station" they show reception for actually broadcasts between two and four channels. My address shows 9 stations on the FCC website, but my TVs get 63 channels on average. I've edited my channel list down to 47 stations with nine duplicates, so 38 individual free stations. And that's just OTA, the free to view options on the "Smart" TV side via the internet add more options.
BTW: I'd have more OTA options, but Paris Mountain is between my antenna and the stations in the Charlotte NC area.

Now I just have to get some HD tvs, since it appears that they only work with this type.

I bought an outdoor TV antenna from Walmart for about $50 and put it in my attic on a nail and disconnected the cable tv coax and attached it to the antenna and got about 45 crystal clear channels free on all 4 tvs. Many channels are 4K HD and we have Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix and we had Sling during football season just to get ESPN 1, 2, and 3. We canceled it the day the College National Championship game was over and will probably get it again next year the day before college football starts. You don't have to pay an activation fee you can start and stop any time you want.

I stream with the Roku stick. We have Hulu, Netflix and CBS All Access.
Very pleased with the service and don't pay the cable or dish fees any more, and yes you still have to pay for internet.;)

All the TVs are smart tvs now and they're cheap and are preloaded with Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Sling and others and they will connect wirelessly to your internet quite easily as long as you have a wireless router.

Amazing flap jack. You can get ALL major networks here with a decent antenna.
If you need sports, i.e. ESPN and all its little brothers, Sling TV is a economical way of getting it using a streaming device of your choice. Roku, Fire stick, etc.
I fired the cable company awhile back, get internet only service from Cox. Saving considerable money.
PM me if you want local area details

Hulu, amazon prime and netflix. Hulu is $55, netflix $9 for one set on at a time and prime $99 a year with free shipping, books and other stuff. Still has more than I want to watch. I get one PBS station and have spent over $100 on antennas.

It is unreal what you can get now with a TV antenna, where you could only just get one channel now you can get up to seven on one channel the government made them split channels several years ago. Jeff

Youtube tv includes ACC network, Big 10 nw, SEC nw, Fox sports on several feeds, CBS sports and several Espn feeds for $49 month. 70 channels in all. I added Starz/Encore for $9 per month and that gets you about 15 channels of commercial free movies.

Another good thing is there are no fees or taxes...yeah I'm sticking it to the man. :D

Depends on how far you want to go. I have really become a radio guy. Lots of very good programing. The best thing is you don't have to watch, you can do other things at the same time. DVDs and tapes get me through movies. You can also livestream on your computer.

We ditched the cable last year. We have the Firesticks on every tv in the house. We subscribe to Sling tv. I didnt really care for it at first but it is great. Once I got used to it. Just about $125-$175 cheaper than cable. We have Windstream internet.
