One of the Worst RoboCalls, Vehicle warranty scam.

I think this one is the most obnoxious, plus it's long. Not only is it a scam they want to place you on hold!!!

Hi I'm calling from vehicle servicing to reach out regarding the factory warranty on your vehicle our records indicate it's past the coverage expiration is that right?? (pause)

Ok well I see the vehicle here on file is actually still eligible for vehicle warranty protection for security reasons let me get a specialist who can give you the details on the vehicle and explain your available options leasehold.

You do realize every time you answer a robocall, your number is flagged and added to a list as "active". You can expect more and more calls.

I used to get about half a dozen or more robocalls every day. After ignoring all unfamiliar numbers and using a free caller id on my phone for a few months now, I only get about one call per week.

Also, never put your real phone number when signing up at different shops and sites online. They really have no business calling you and believe me, even legit businesses can and do legally sell your number to ad agencies. I feel any issue that might crop up with an order can be solved with email.

I go into settings, and send all numbers not in my contacts, direct to voice mail. Never hear them ring, and they mostly do not leave a message. If they get through, then I block their #.

If I don't then I don't answer. I figure if the call is legit they will leave a
voicemail and I'll return the call. I get a few robocalls every day. Most
don't leave a recorded voicemail but some do. I don't care. They can

I do not answer the phone It's on the recorder. I have exceeded my allowed "blocks" Doesn't matter they change the phone number. Also the number bypasses the unknown name blocker,

indicates "Potential Spam" instead of a phone number.

I often ask them which vehicle is expired "as I have several". I get the runaround and then ask them if the vehicle is on their computer. Again, this sets the scammer into a now-what-do-I-do-now moment. Then come the death threats and demands for my personal information etc etc etc. I only do this when I'm in a mischievious mood and want to waste their time. It might surprise you to know that these scammers have a quota in some of the boiler rooms they work in and that failure to meet that quota results in them getting a beating from their bosses.

I have Verizon Call Block. Sounds like you do also. Difference is my calls go right to voicemail but I get a sms with the inbound number showing blocked as potential spam. The phone doesn't ring for these numbers.

my last call....I answered and told them I was SO glad that they called, as I was very worried about my warranty about to run out for my 1956 S-110 International pickup.....how much would it cost to renew for another 5 years anyway?????

It might surprise you to know that these scammers have a quota in some of the boiler rooms they work in and that failure to meet that quota results in them getting a beating from their bosses.

I have learned my lesson about "ENTER NOW! GREAT GUN GIVEAWAY!"

I'v been fortunate enough to win a really nice Meopta scope from Camera World a couple of years back. I guess that's why I keep entering.

But I tell you the truth, I've ended up on so many email lists that I'm considering just changing it completely. I've spent unknown amounts of time Unsubscribing from an endless number of people wanting to sell something or talk me out of a donation to save the world.

It's maddening.

Somebody pulled that on me twice. They not only had my phone number, but my name too. I've been talking to myself for years. I don't need a telephone to do it.

So yeah ... String them along as long as you can then deliver the sting .
