Next episode of the 2020 confinement pictorials, the S&W revolvers, a world famous brand with a huge following. Mine mostly fall into the 80s-90s period.

I am not a fan of the internal lock, both aesthetically and morally. I think a responsible adult gun owner should not be imposed such a device. Therefore I sadly haven’t bought a new S&W in a long time, but thankfully quality second hand examples are plentiful here in Switzerland.

And yes, I like combat grips. I’ve read some people hate them and think they’re an aberration. They fit my hands perfectly, are very comfortable and I love the look and the Goncalo Alves wood. I find the flaring at the bottom of the target grips make it unnecessarily wide for the little finger, despite having large hands. This also creates a tendency for the gun to rotate upwards in the hand when shooting, especially with heavy loads.

First and oldest one is not exactly a revolver, but close

And a non S&W, didn’t want to leave it out alone, and the design influence is obvious

And not a single .41 in the bunch.

Nope sorry. I missed out on a very nice 57 a few years ago. .41 cartridges are hard to find here and I already have my hands full with other calibers at the reloading bench.

Great collection of great revolvers! Now you're going to shows us a long list of P210s next?

Beautiful collection, the one that interests me the most is the 1922 Perfect Target. I'm 82 and have only seen one of those. It was sometime back in the 60s and an old gentleman I met, who late taught me a great deal about firearms, brought one out and showed it to me. He had used it in some type of competition in the past. The only thing that could have made that day better is if we were at the range and I might have shot it. It's really something how a few memories really stick, as I type this I can see that pistol in his hand.

Amazing photographic work! Thanks for sharing. I’ve never owned a revolver as nice as any of these. But this post sure makes me wish I did.

Oh, too bad. The .41s are addictive...I have several, but my favorites are both of my 3" 657s:

I do like the rest of your taste however...;)
