Gun Wax

Renaissance wax for me too but also I use Flitz gun wax for stocks and barrels on long guns and shotguns. The Flitz helps to protect from elements and claims blood also is repelled.

Wax on Wax off

I use Johnson Paste Wax in the Yellow Can.

I use this only on my Stainless Steel Revolvers. When I apply
JPW, I use Cotton Make Up Remover Rounds.

I have never tried JPW on a Blued Gun. I think it would be Ok.

I believe JPW has a high concentration of Carnauba Wax which
is good.

I like Nu Finish Wax (in the orange bottle). I have found it works
good for taking off and reducing the Black Rings on the
front of Stainless Steel Cylinders. Also good for Brass Tumbler
Media.

Good Question

Ren wax here too. I do have to say that Johnson paste wax can be picked up at your local Home Depot tho. Rex was I got from ordering from Brownells.

Rangerone

I think that Ren Wax is a brand name - pretty sure that it is just microcystalline wax. It is what museums use to protect and preserve items.

Ren Wax is made in England. This one is made in Barberton, Ohio according to the site. I will call them tomorrow and ask.

I know the NRA National Firearms Museum uses it, and Milt Sparks recommends for use on their holsters.

Looking forward to hearing what they say.

JPW works for me too. I don't like that you have to degrease and remove oil from guns before use.

Another user of Renaissance Wax here. I used to use carnuba wax, but the Renaissance Wax is superior. A little bit goes a long way!
