Do I need a 3913 in my life/3rd Gen Collection?

Since you're a 3rd. Gen. collector, if you consider the price to be right, why not?

I'd owned several 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. Gen guns prior to acquiring my 3913 LNIB some years ago. I bought mine to carry. I probably would not have bought it if I'd not intended to carry it. That being said, it has been a fine, reliable little pistol with all the many kinds of ammo I've used in it.

Yes,,,,,,, been carrying a 3913,3914 or a 3913NL since 1990.......when S&W put ASP,Trapper and others out of business building compact concealed carry 9mm's.

Lots of new choices out there for a single stack 9mm concealed carry...... but none better IMHO!!!!!!

Add a set of Hogue wood checkered grips for the ultimate in cool carry micro Model 39.

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to get some thoughts on a possible purchase of a Model 3913 listed as "very good" over here in Australia.

Do I need a Model 3913 in my 3rd Gen Collection. So far I have a 4506-1, 5906, 5906 TSW, 4006, and 3904. This would go on my Collectors License as we do not have Conceal Carry Laws here.

The serial number is VAF1706 and is listed for sale at $675 AU (which is about $485 USD). Due to our laws and the 2003 Handgun Buy-back, 3rd Gen Smiths are hard to come by.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Look at how many current compact pistols have almost identical weight, dimensions and round count. The 3913 has been where the others are currently going on 30 years now.

Buy it. Now.

Interesting that you framed it that way. The first time I handled a 3913, I said aloud, "I'll bet the Shield's designer had one of these".

You won't regret getting it and as time goes on, you'll wonder why you ever questioned the purchase.
