Stopped by my local pawn shop today. Last couple of times, they have been picked clean of most handguns. Today I saw an Astra Terminator .44 mag there. I have wanted one for a long time. They even had two boxes of Hornady .44 special ammo. Bought the gun and the ammo.

I remember when they came out.I wanted one badly.Since I couldn't find one,I got me a 4'' model 29...but always wondered how it must have felt like to shoot the still shorter snout will full loads.
Try it and if you can still write, please report.
The little beast really looks businesslike.Nice find!

Nice! A Seth Gecko gun!

I've wanted one since I saw From Dusk til Dawn in the theater.

Summer 2019, I bought a 629-6 2 5/8" 44 Mag. Recoil isn't the worst problem, the finger grip (wooden) stocks, come up and look very nice. With full fledged factory 240's, it peals a few layers of skin on the thumb's inmost knuckle with every shot! I have a cast 240 SWC load with 10 grains Unique in Mag length brass, that I call my "44++P" load that is quite manageable to shoot without bleeding.

I have been a "BBBG" (Big Bore Belly Gun) guy since 1994 when I bought a K-frame sized Taurus 44 Special 3" (5 shot), and I have some really small 45 ACP autos, but there are times you just want a gun that doubles as a flame thrower! I worked on the Taurus' trigger and it was sweeet! But the gun was shot so much the internal pins had been turned around enough it was down to its last few thousand rounds, so it was traded on the new 629.

As high recoil revolvers get some age on them, quality service and repair can be problematic!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is my understanding the "true" terminators were customized by Jovino & had the word terminator stamped on the right side of the barrel. That's what I've got. I've seen several listed on Gunbroker as terminators that didn't have that stamping. Read somewhere where Astra put out a number of these guns to cash in on the terminator craze.

Congrat's on your acquisition. I have a Terminator in 45 LC. They are good solid revolvers. There are several forum members here that have Terminator's in various calibers. Enjoy your's.
