Oh the memories...first car given to me was a 1953 chevy, lot car, drove it around the yard as long as I could go with a gallon of gas, my age about 13...my first legal on the road vehicle was a 1957 Four Courier. It was service truck for the company I worked for, had over 100,000 on the clock. Cost me 20 dollars. It was basically a ford station wagon with a flat deck behind the front bench seat. right behind the seat were 2 panels that lifted up, built in beer coolers. It had a straight 6 and 3 on the tree which was quickly converted to a fake hurst floor shifter. What a fun drive it was for the 2 years I had it.
Funny moment, got pulled over by the local cops one night, they said my rear end looked overloaded...opened the back door and 23 friends were pulled out. Cops made them all walk home...yeah memories.
