That six shot is beautiful but I need all ten shots when squirrel hunting. Someday I'll add a nice set of wood grips to mine.

A gun that's hard not to like. It's also hard to own just one. I think there's 3 or 4 hiding in the safe here. This one is a favorite.

Here's my 617-0 top, 617-2 middle, 617-6 bottom

Same 617-6 with Hogue grip and after some polishing and engraving.

I have grown accustomed to the 10 shot capacity of my 617-6, and now my Mod 17's seem to get passed over more frequently. I'm still looking for just the right set of grips, while the factory Hogue's fit me well, I prefer nice wood.


These Nill just didn't fit my hand, (too big).


At least these other's don't get jealous.

Nuttin Fancy here. Just my Stock 617 10 Shooter, with a Vortex Venom Sight Riding on it.It's so accurate that it's scary. It shoots great even with cheap Bulk Ammo. My Son has the same setup.

Unfired when I bought it.

2 hours later, it was the gun I was looking for. Still my favorite .22 today.
