Yesterday at Walmart...I was blow away.

Angels. I was messing near twin bee belts while the machine was running.i had those winter Army d3 gloves with heavy wool liners.
Note, my older brother just passed away so my mind wasn’t thinking correctly.
The pulley caught my gloves and my fingers went around the twin belts through the pulley. I never felt a pinch at the same time the generator slide loose inbthe adjustment slot. Nothing happened to my fingers. The belts were loose.

I looked up at the sky and thanked them.

Growing up mom preached to us "never rob a person of a blessing".

She said that if a person was led by their heart to do a kindness for us then don't let pride cause us to refuse it. My kids and now my grandkids understand this.

The world could use more Victorias.

Mine too Rusty.

The girl with the turquoise top is one of my daughters. Last summer we were doing some shopping and when we got in the car she said, "I'll be right back".

She ran over and helped an elderly lady put her groceries in her car. He husband was in the car and is unable to help. He actually has to wait in the car while she does the shopping.

When my daughter got back in the car all she could talk about was how nice the lady was and how she wanted to give her a box of donuts that she had just bought. My daughter said she'd love to have her for a grandmother.

If you're in the position to help someone, help them.
God might just be answering that person's prayer though you.

Once many years ago I saw a pastor I know in the grocery store. I had a strong feeling that I should give him some money, so I looked in my wallet and saw about $40. I approached Bob, and told him that I felt led to give him the cash in my wallet for some reason. He motioned to another man and said, "That man is down on his luck, and I'll use your money to buy him some groceries." It wasn't much, but it sure felt good.

As mentioned in another thread, my wife passed away on Thursday, February 4th, this year.
We were told on Monday that she only had about two days left on this earth.

Even though we live in Wyoming, we didn't have any snow in town at that time. She mentioned that before she passed, she would like to see snow one more time.

Tuesday our Son-in-law placed a request in the local classified (on Facebook, I believe) if someone could provide some snow.

A man and wife saw the request, drove to where there was snow and loaded up the back of their pickup. We shoveled that snow onto the front lawn. She was able to see it, then slipped into unconsciousness. It snowed in town on Wednesday and she passed away on Thursday.

Still do not know the people who got the snow, but was thanked by everyone involved.

Yes, angels are out there.

I had an experience with an angel that was a little different. I had car trouble and my parents let me borrow their 1969 Buick Electra to drive to my college classes. It was winter and the parking lot was covered with ice. I backed the Buick out of the space and I felt the right rear tire go into a hole. I could not get the car out. Lots of young guys walked by without offering to help me or refusing when I asked them to push. I was standing there looking at the stuck tire when I heard a sweet young girl's voice ask if she could help. I turned around and there was an angel. Jet black shoulder length hair and big bright blue eyes. She said she couldn't push but she would drive while I pushed. I thanked her and went to the back of the Buick and began pushing. All of a sudden there were four guys helping me push the car out of the hole. The girl got out of the car and I thanked her for her help. She walked over to her car and got in. I thanked the guys that helped me push. They were from a fraternity. One said they thought the car belonged to the girl and had they known it was my car they would not have helped. I laughed, got in the car and left. What a wonderful angel.

Apparently a lot of people pay it forward at Starbucks. I've gone through their drive though at least 3 times in the last year at different locations getting some breakfast or lunch and the person working the window said the car that was in front of me paid for my meal. It really brightens up your day!

Great post! During my career I saw the best and worst of humanity and the best far exceeded the worst. Perhaps I am naïve or a fool but I think most people are good and decent. I always think of people as good unless they prove otherwise and have seldom been disappointed. This world has more than a few decent people but is full of them. Another great story I read today. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ivery-driver-five-days-storm-SUV-crashed.html

I love doing that at drive-up windows. :D

...What happened to me the other day has got me thinking more and more about this. ...
That's an amazing and heart-warming story. (And who doesn't need more of those these days?) I'm not sure about angels myself, but it's clear they aren't necessarily of the ephermeral "wingy" variety that we often imagine them. Sistema1927's quote from Hebrews says it all, I think.

Of course, your obvious love of cats might have an effect on your karma, too :)
