Who Loves .22 Revolvers?

My favorite 22lr revolver is the Colt Officers Model Special, 4th issue. It is the most accurate 22 revolver I own, maybe the most accurate gun I own. It's the top one in the left photo, shown with its 38 Special sibling. Made from 1949-52. My latest acquisition is the K-22 Outdoorsman from 1939, in the right photo. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I'm looking forward to it. It is one beautiful gun. I also have a 1953 K-22 Combat Masterpiece and a 1966 model 17-2. Both terrific revolvers. Sorry, no photos of those two.

Love my .22 revolvers! Wish I knew how to add photos to the message body instead of these silly attachments but here are mine. In order left to right: my 3.5" Model 43, my Model 18-3, my Model 63 No Dash which is really a 63-1, my EAA Combo Bounty Hunter, and lastly and probably leastly is my Taurus 991SS6 6.5" .22 Mag revolver. The 43 is probably my favorite but the 63 would be a close 2nd. The 18 is so nice I don't even shoot it. Love 'em all.

22 Revolvers

I shouldn't even post this, but I just can't get into 22 revolvers. I have my dad's old H&R revolver that I could never hit anything with. Over the years I have had 2 S&W model 18's. They were very high quality revolvers, and I could shoot pretty well with them. But one had the dreaded tight chambers.

Just to clarify, I love 22 automatics and have a Colt Woodsman Sport and
a Beretta 89 Target. And I had a nice S&W model 41 I sold a few years ago.
And I have several center fire S$W revolvers that I really like. I just prefer my 22's to be automatics and my center fires to be revolvers. Willyboy.

Only .22 revolver I have is a M48-4, K22 Masterpiece Magnum. Would love to find a .22LR cylinder for it, but NBD, I have a Ruger .22/45 Mk.III in .22LR. Not a revolver, but still fun to shoot.

Also from the not a revolver but still fun to shoot department is this Walther/Colt 1911 .22LR Rail Gun. Load up them mags and let her rip. Without breaking the bank I might add.

A 1931 K-22 and 1975 34-1 hard chromed getting some range time. I don't really care much for SA .22s, but love the swing-outs.

And a 1933 Colt OMT to boot.

I always have a .22 l.r. handgun in the range bag and most often it is a revolver. The first Korth that I bought is also my favorite revolver but lately a S&W 17-2 that had been shortened is my range companion. The hammer spur had broken off and was cut and contoured by the former owner and I changed the ejector rod and installed a new one since the original one had no finish at all left. I also put some smaller grips on it because it will soon go to my daughter in law, who has really small hands.
