Set Randall Free!!

I have the same knife as the OP and purchased it sometime in the early 80’s . I’ve never used it but when I bought it I had Randall put my name on it . Probably not smart . Do you knife guys think it still has value ?
Wouldn’t mind selling it.
Also a friend of mine sent his scratched and dinged up Randall back to the factory and they buffed the blade back to new specs .

It still has value. Where is the name? Full name? First name only?

I use my model 3 quite a bit also.

My user Randall...just today matter if fact.

A very handy knife.

What's the biggest thing I ever stuck a knife into? I have to say a bull elk. Does that count?:)

Mule Packer, I always like your still life pistol/knife pictures. I knew when I saw the title to this thread "Set Randall Free" I would get to see one of your great pictures with one of your Randall's in it.

I ordered one for my son for his graduation, It came in a few months ago. I offered to let him open it early, but he said he’d rather wait. I offered to open and check it. He said no.

So I literally have on my shelf a Randall that needs to be set free. It’s making me crazy, but he seems unfazed.

What’s the biggest thing you ever stuck a Knife into?

Here is my Randall Number 14. The biggest thing that was cut by this knife was a large birthday cake celebrating Mikhail Kalashnikov's 90th birthday on November 10, 2009. We were teaching a machinegun class to various California crime labs at the time, and I thought it would be funny. No politics involved.

During the shooting part of the class, I was wearing a bullet-proof vest backwards. When that was pointed out to me, I explained that I was not so much concerned about whoever was holding a machinegun that I could see in front of me. I was concerned about someone with a machinegun behind me that I couldn't see. I sure didn't want to be shot in the back by a negligent discharge.

I have some Randalls

Some of them get used, the big Bowies not so much. They are just too big to carry around. But my models 3, 10, 12, and one see a fair amount of action.
