625-7 .45 Colt - The Long & the Short of it!

That's correct, 170081. I also was told that only 50 of these remained in the states. The accuracy is fantastic. This is 5 shots D/A at 20 yards. I also just picked up a really sweet Model of 1955 in ..45ACP. It's a 1957 gun. Also very accurate.

That was going to be my next question!:o

Thanks!

They are supposed to be from the estate of Kent Lamont. I never did pursue getting it verified though. I have only been out shooting them 1 time with some Winchester ammo-bad bullet jump, both guns had the cylinder locked up after one shot so I shot them single shot!

Guy, that is surgical shooting at 20 yards!:D I love your beautiful 25 ND also! My first one came with the unrelieved grips like yours, which I believe was standard for that period(?).

Here's a poor pic of my previous 25 (sold to a friend), my new acquisition with the Cokes, I haven't taken any photos of as of yet. They are a beast of a revolver & wonderful to shoot!:)

I debated, for a while, about owning another "one off" caliber. After reading, on this forum, how much other members enjoyed shooting the .45 Colt in their respective models, I was hooked.

This one is in 98% condition, came with a presentation case, which needs to be re-flocked and shoots like a dream. The longer barrels are not generally my favorite however, the results at the range are enough for me. Reloading and shooting cast bullets brings out the best, IMO.

I wouldn't mind finding a 4 inch!

The non relieved target stocks are what prompted me to drive 3 hours to buy the gun. I had hopes that it would be a 1955 shipped gun. Numbers on the stocks date them to 1955 but the gun serial number date it to 1957. Obviously it came home with me anyway.

Unrelieved Targets stocksv- Very nice!

Yeah, I really like them as well. Very classic looking! I've had them stamped and unstamped. Good buy on your part!:)
