Picked it up yesterday, haven’t shot it yet and still need to do the initial cleaning. Have the Shield 1.0 that is my summer carry gun but once I get a few rounds through the Plus it will be my main carry.

After a couple of “refining” range trips, mine has replaced my 1.0 Shield9 as a carry option.

It eats everything I’ve put through it. (including 4 different brands of HP)

I did have to drift the front sight left a bit. My initial shots were a decent group, but POI wasn’t centered on target. Turns out on closer inspection, the front sight wasn’t in the center of the dovetail.

Brass punch wrapped in tape & a few whacks with the ol’ mallet later, and voila! We’re in business.

I’m sure I will, my shield 1.0 has 2500+ rounds through it so I am sure this one will be the same in terms of S&W reliability.

Love the fact it fits in the same holster as the 1.0.

I'm trying to resist. I've been very satisfied with my Shield 2.0 as my EDC since I bought it. Made the mistake the other day of handling a Shield Plus. The slightly larger grip felt so nice to me + the three additional rounds are making me play the "want vs. need" game.

I have a bit over 500 rounds of range ammunition through mine without any problems. Not ready to EDC until I put a reasonable amount of self-defense ammo down range. I expect it will do just as well however.

Had a Shield one also, 2000 rounds and ultra reliable. Just got the Shield Plus, only a bit over a hundred rounds so far but no issues. Was a bit curious about the magazines reliability but so far so good.

Exactly where I am, I like the PC with the red dot, may have to pick one up soon

Would there be an issue with a reddot on a ported slide/barrel pistol? Would the black damage the optic front sight?

I gave my Shield 1 to my sister. I have been carrying my 2.0 for a year. It replaced my Glock 19 because it pulled my pants down. I picked up the Shield plus today. Have to throw some rounds downrange before carry. Now begins the search for magazines.

I just bought a new full size 2.0 the front sight definitely not centered. It needs to go to left to!

Hello all, traded in my 2.0 for one of these today. It came from the gun shop just loaded w/ oil and I was surprised but nothing some Ballistol couldn't clean right up. I racked it a few times and it's stiff, the magazine fit is tight but doesn't seem out of the ordinary for a brand new Shield. No damaged parts ect so it just needs a break-in. I am just leaving the topped off mags to the side for a few days hoping the springs soften. I like the new finish and milder stippling on the grips. The 2.0 felt like sandpaper and I mostly wore gloves at the range. Glad I won't need to w/ this.

I did not top off the mags. Put the thirteen round mag with the slide locked back and sling shot it forward. I am ok with 12+1 for now and I have two extra mags loaded with thirteen rounds. Perhaps as time goes by and things loosen up and break in I might top of the mag after chambering a round. But for now it seems to work fine with thirteen rounds.

Finally, shot the plus today, had it since July. Fifty ball and twenty five hollow points. Not a single malfunction in the gun or the mags.

Sounds great! How were you able to group your shots? Accuracy was there I presume?
