My .22 Combat Masterpiece is one of my favorite revolvers. Its on my never sell list. It's condition is just how I like my guns...nice but not so I won't take them out to play.

Since I won't be the first to play a bit loose with the dates here, I'll post my 22 Combat Masterpiece from around 1951. The Masterpiece on the left was shipped to Abercrombie & Fitch in December 1947. Both have the original stocks.
The CM came to me through the generosity and thoughtfulness of a member of this forum, and it's a ridiculously accurate and good shooting gun. Like Bill's above it's in perfect condition for me--looks great but used enough to holster every once in a while and shoot at will!

I have 2, a no dash, from 1958-ish and a 1977 18-3. The 18-3 was a trainer for the Colorado State Patrol Academy. I found it an LGS. The 4-screw was bought, from a member, on this forum.
There sure are a bunch of gorgeous CMs in this thread. I have only one, and technically it is not a Model 18. K22 Combat Masterpiece, 4 screw, shipped in April, 1957. I bought it just a tad more than 4 years ago. It cost me $535 at the time, which I thought was reasonable then. In today's market, I think I bought it cheap...

Love my S&W .22s. 
Left and center on the bottom row are a pair of 18-3s.
The center gun is a 1977 model just as S&W made them.
The left gun is from 1974 and was modified by a previous owner. RR, WO, smooth face trigger and a wonderful action job. I added the Uncle Mike's Combat grips. This is my DA practice gun. I shoot this more than any other gun I own.

Interesting, I have never seen anything but a 4". I will have to read up on barrel lengths in the S&W bible

Here is the only K22 Combat Master Piece I own. Shipped in May of 1958. It letters with the McGivern gold bead front sight, target hammer, target trigger and target grips. It's my favorite .22 revolver to shoot.

That one pegs the cool meter. I love the front sight configuration. Did it ship to an individual? Any other info on the order?
