What can you do right now to make your life better?

My life will be better when I make the lives of others better.

Big Lots sent me a 50% OFF coupon.
Trust but Verify - The local store manager verified it is REAL and good for ANY in stock merchandise.
Spending will make me and many other feel better.

Plan is to BUY shelf stable food for food pantries.
Also, as requested, some "selected personal feminine products" for women's shelters.
I will point Lois at that aisle and give her a spending limit.
Unfortunately Big Lots does not have diapers which are also on the woman's shelters "WANT LIST".

Help me to be the person the neighbor dog thinks I am.

PS: Those helping with Mayfield KY tornado recovery are overloaded with donations.
Storage and distribution is their current problem.
Since Mayfield KY tornado was near, thought should explain my choices to receive these donations.

There are so many good causes to help that I cannot give to all. I have chosen to give only to help the only true innocences out there. My local no kill animal shelter. Fifteen years ago I got a cat from them and still have him and every time I have some spare money to donate I sent it their way plus a small percent of every thing I buy on Amazon goes to them.

Win the lottery.

Then I can help those causes that are important to me.

Animal rescues (especially cat rescues), volunteer fire departments, and gun rights groups.

Edit - We already give to those groups, but I mean endowment level donations.

It already happened. My mom (88) lives with my sister (65). Three months ago they contracted Covid. They were quarantined and both recovered. Mom, however, completely lost her senses of smell and taste. It has been miserable for her as she has lost weight because all food was like chewing on wet newspaper.

Yesterday she called me with tears of joy. She was putting a scented liner in the bathroom waste basket, shook out the bag and smelled lavender.

Just for sustenance she made a tomato and Duke's sandwich. She could taste the tomato. She is much relieved that her senses are coming back.

That made my whole Christmas.

PS; no discussion of Covid, please.

Helping friends makes me better. A young co-worker's car broke down. I put four new tires on it, and then took her to my neighborhood auto repair shop and replaced the alternator and battery to get her going again. She's a single mom, and couldn't afford any of it. I can. Enough said, and she doesn't owe me a dime.

She is baking me some cookies for Christmas, though. :)

You, Dear Friend, are a good human being.
Best,
