I just bought myself a CSX and had to perform a complete disassembly to inspect and look how the gun works. It’s not easy but not impossible either I will post pictures later.

Good job @Rolandag2. Thank you for sharing it.

The only drawback - this actually confirmed my earlier thoughts, that I don't want this handgun.

It’s actually a really nice gun, the frame fit and finish is excellent and the trigger with usage will get better and it’s almost intuitive aiming and when you bring it up to eye level, your eyes naturally align the sights and the parts all fit really good, I really like this gun, now S&W need to make higher capacity magazines and maybe a trigger kit

I thought if I pushed the firing pin in (first push on the block plunger) the metal back plate would come right out. But I noticed there looked like a clip or something at the top of it. Rather than force anything I stopped there. I hope it is more apparent for you.

It should come apart like a 1911 firing pin stop but I think the stop on the csx is a tight fit, I’ll find out today and take pictures and post

Sight has to come off, the firing pin stop comes off through the top not in the downward motion

The firing pin block has a pivot pin that retains it and has to be removed in order for removal

Did you shoot it? How does it shoot?

The trigger feels great other than the false reset, you have to let the trigger all the way out but very little movement to full reset, mine was shooting low and to the left with range ammo, but I shot 6 different semi auto pistols and they all shot on target with range ammo. I shot WC EDC X9, S&W SHIELD 9MM, SS P239, WC BERETTA CC 9MM, CSX AND NIGHTHAWK LADYHAWK 9MM. All pistols shot on target at 10 yds except the CSX was low and to the left

Thanks.

Does it look like the CSX uses the same sights as the Shield?

Looks like it’s the same sight base but haven’t tried that yet, the sight base came off really easy, no real effort to get it off and the slide has a notch where the sight screw sits so relatively no sight base adjustment is possible, only drifting the front sight to get gun on target
