It’s a crispy, sunny morning here in north-central Indiana. Sorry I don’t have a particularly scenic view from here for you. Winter can certainly be beautiful out along the countryside. I used to love it, but not anymore. Maybe if I did without a few midwest winters I’d get to appreciate them again? I think I’m going to try that. Thanks for your pics!

I got the same snow as u last night M29. I’m about 150 mi east of u in western NY. Like you I feed the birds. Although the deer and squirrels get most of it. I’ve had enough of winter as well. Dreaming of Naples FL……. 2/26 7:30am

Drifting....
Wishful thinking that with all that's going on in the world, this Spring's planned trip to Italy takes place.
Admiring my view in Florence:

Florence.jpg

The Northeast corner of Columbus, O. is dismal and grey, not a snowflake to be seen. 22 degrees F, 2/26/22 0920EST

Just a comment on the "Forever Summer" regions. Mom moved to Fort Lauderdale about 25 years ago. In her words, The place is full of old people, driving too slow! (even though she was in her late 60's). She sold off her Art Gallery in Ft. Lauderdale and the gallery in Miami and moved back to Central Ohio. Has been here for over 13 years. She turns 90 in April and is having the time of her life!

I had a tenant that moved to Columbus from SoCal in 1977. She was 4th generation born in California. Her GGrandfather had a mountain range named for him, but after she retired, she came here. During the Blizzard of 78, I'm shoveling a 3 foot snow drift from her sidewalk. She throws open the front door and happily yells, "Aren't these changes in the seasons wonderful?"

People find that paradise gets boring, just ask Adam & Eve! Their kids moved to the "Burbs" to the West.

I’m a snow spotter in Ashtabula County and my snow total for overnight is 3”

Storm was a bust but lake effect came through again.

OP...nice collection of snow flakes you have there. Hope you enjoy them...up there :)

Ivan, to each his own. After 53 yrs of these temps and lake effects snow I’ve had enough. My wife and I have a place in Naples and it is PARADISE. I want to cry every time we leave there. Granted some of my disdain is with this state as well as the weather. We’ve got 3 more yrs till we’re out of NY. We finally found a QB and the BILLS are great again. Thank goodness for satellite TV.

When it snows here, I awake to a room that has an unusual lighting....
and I hear, nothing.............. not a sound. It is spooky and eerie.

A sort of calm comes over me until I realize that I might have to get out in it with a snow shovel.

Nice pictures, by the way.

i used to live in Lake County, Ohio, just down the road. The lake effect snow was a familiar scene.

I just got back from visiting family in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Nice place to visit, but...

It's totally flat...no hills, mountains, forests anywhere. No curvy backroads. (Why would you even bother to own a motorcycle there?) No neat old buildings or true historical sites. The water tastes like sulphur. They can't drive. Nothing but gated residential communities with shopping centers and strip malls in between. Lizards and crocigators everywhere. The humidity...arghhh! (You always feel like you're walking around with wet underwear on.) Other than that, it's just great... :)

Give your Mom a hug for me, Ivan... :)
