So far, not a great MLB Opening Day for me.

The Yankees/Red Sox get rained out, the Pirates got absolutely smoked by the Cardinals, the Cubs won (BOOO!!!) , and the Mets/Nationals games is looking like a rain out as well.

Looks like the Reds/Braves game will go off as scheduled at 8pm.

I did have to laugh though. The Pirates announcer was going over the scores of the earlier games, and he said "The Royals beat the Indians, uh, I mean the former Indians, the Cleveland Guardians".

AFAIC, they'll ALWAYS be the Indians!

Have always been a Reds fan since Johnny Bench played on our A level team, the Peninsula Grays, back in I think 66. Trouble is when you get somebody that good, you don't get to keep them long.

You better believe it!

Me in my Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn jersey from Major League and Major League II. I was an extra in Major League II and always wanted a jersey like in the movie, and I finally got one.

What if MLB had an opening day and no one noticed? I'm holding out for the minor league season where players actually try to impress someone.

I haven't been to a game since the Cueto Wild Card Game, which actually was exciting after all the previous 20 or so years. Before that, been a while. I did win a Pirates jacket over 20 years ago during the Pirates Trivia mid 4th inning thing. My 15 seconds of fame! To make it better, I found out there were a couple girls there from an account I serviced & watched me on the BIG screen! Celebracy status, Pittsburgh style n'at!! (All of my associates & I have pretty low standards when the Bucs are involved!)

I've been a Dodger fan since 1948 when I went to a few games with my brother and dad.We took the trolley from Greenpoint Brooklyn to Ebbets field in Flatbush.
I was a card carrying member of Happy Felton's Knot Hole Gang.
The Dodger season starts this afternoon in Colorado.
