About 16 or 17 years ago my (Then New) daughter-in-law had come to the US for the first time. We were sitting around the kitchen table just talking. The question came to my mind, and my big mouth just had to ask it!
"What do they call "spacey girls" in Germany?" She didn't understand the term I used, and my son explained something to her in German. She turned to me and said, "I understand now. There are NO spacey girls in Germany, Hitler killed them all!" At first, I thought she misunderstood or my son incorrectly defined the term. But as it turns out, there just don't seem to be girls with vacuum for brains in either the former East or West Germany. Weather they were exterminated, bred out of existence, or just dropped the act; The intelligence of all the Blond and Brunette German ladies I have met is above the average of their American counterparts.

As I look at the people my children married, I see my prejudice against low operating mental capabilities has manifested itself in that generation of the family. And the most wonderful result is, The Grandkids! They seem to be capable of using their heads for more than a hat rack! The oldest two are teens now, and show the potential to remember their education, be gainfully employed and reproduce more little people that are capable of thought processes that will "Make America Great Again!" (The ability to use and improve advanced process of manufacturing, or create new products of their own!)

All 4 of my kids have good mathematical minds and the 5 grandkids old enough to be in school seem to be following that trend. All 5 are running straight "A's" in advanced math classes (9th, 7th, & 5th grades).

I have no intention in promoting or ever allowing the extermination of any person of lower mental function! I do however hope that America finds a way to promote and reward the better producers.

My daughters were home schooled until the 9th grade. My eldest granddaughter was home schooled. My youngest daughter's two kids are home schooled. The two boys here are home schooled.

All are/were tested well ahead of their age groups. All are doing well.

Thank heavens for my mom's and Ruthie's DNA.

I must respectfully disagree.
Every country has their share of intelligent people along with the “spacey”. No matter what country all people have different levels of intelligence and all have and show the same emotions as others, ie, sadness, joy, jealousy, etc. etc.
No matter the country, a rocket scientist won’t be asking you if you want to upgrade to cheese curds. No offense to anyone, just used as an illustration.
You have not met them as it sounds your family does not have “dingbats” in the inner circle.

Also keep in mind those that struggle with numbers can be just as intelligent as those with good math skills. There is a condition for those who struggle with numbers, dyscalculia.

Remember the Jay Walking segment on the tonight show?
Only the dingbats were shown because it was paid attention to. The people who gave the correct answers were never shown, there’s no “humor” humor in that.
But also keep in mind there are countries that drill into the kids to study, study and study some more. My wife taught those kids as exchange students. They took school seriously but they had no social skills at all. They didn’t know how to be kids.

I know what I’m trying to say but I don’t think I’m articulating my thoughts as I intend.

My oldest son has cerebral palsy and is mildly intellectually disabled. His the kindest, hardest-working, most generous human being I've ever met. I wouldn't trade him for a dozen Einsteins.

Ruthie's sister, Sharon, has CP and has been without the use of her legs for 65 years. Her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and a hurried C-Section was performed and they couldn't get her to start breathing for a couple of minutes and the lack of oxygen caused mild mental impairment.

Like your son, she is a sweet, gentle soul with an edifying spirit.

I have known brilliant people with only an 8th grade education and idiots with a PhD... I have known happy people with no money and miserable people that were multi millionaires...
there are no hard & fast rules when it comes to human beings . everyone has a talent.. even if it may only act as a warning to others...

I've mentioned my dealing with a severe case of sleep apnea. About 4 months after getting my CPAP machine and being faithful about using it, I noticed that my ambition and problem-solving ability increased dramatically.

Golddollar is 100% correct.
all of the above regarding the thought process is accurate , but the CPAP has saved my marriage. Mrs Chief was gonna kick me out of the bedroom..
