My almost 14 year old Chihuahua has been sickly for a while now. This last week, she was unable to walk and had to be handfed. The vet said she wouldn't recover, so I had to put her down. I cried like a baby.

The funny thing is that neither my wife nor I ever cared about little ankle biter dogs. She had had mostly large dogs in the past and I had had medium sized ones. But in August of 2008, the Mrs was on-line and found a lady that was selling a 2 month old Chi that only weighed 14 ounces. We drove down to see this little girl and fell in love.

The picture is of our cat, Pretty Boy, and his dog, Dixie, taken about a month ago.

Dixie Belle, you are now in a place where you can run and play like you used to. When the Mrs and I get to Heaven, we will looking for you.

You are probably like me. In danger of being trampled by a menagerie of pets when you cross over the Rainbow Bridge.
From Chipmunks, cats, dogs, antelope, 4H steers, to horses.
It should be quite a reunion.

Mulie Gil,

You have my most sincere condolences. I have BTDT that far too many times, several had to be put down for various reasons.

Since 2019 I have lost two cats, one dog, and, worst of all, my Wife of fifty-eight years at the time of her death. The only consolation with your Dixie Bell and my losses is that they are free of this world's trials and suffering! I know I will see my Wife, Barbara Ann, again, hopefully very soon. As with you I do hope I will see the animals I have lost too!
