Thinking About This Gun Today...

You gave her a far better life that she was dealt at the start. We had a cat for roughly 22 years. Small, mean to most. Raised by Rottweilers and bonded to them. I have been told that kitties are not a good idea post transplant - something about collateral risk from the pan, so I doubt I'll have another.

Sorry for your loss. Losing pets is always tough, been there more than I care to admit, but always had to "find" another to fill the hole in my heart!
That's a nice Colt regardless of the grips.
The wife says when our current resident cat goes, there won't be another, but I disagree. I was "pet-less" for three years after having to put my last Lab down and going thru a bad divorce.
Ain't going there again ("pet-less" or divorce!).
When the time comes, I'm thinking a kitten and a puppy would really liven thing up 'round the home place!

You done right by Kitty. Kitty obviously wanted to protect her adoptive family, and probably believed she was repaying the kindness.

We lost our Ralphie cat a few month back. My Cassie was wandering around lost without Ralph (both rescues at different times) so we went and adopted another rescue. Ziggy, surprisingly, fit right into the family and he and Cassie sleep together most of the time.

Long winded way of saying don't be reluctant to rescue another. The vicious little mini tigers add a lot to our lives.

Well, here we go again. My wife and daughter took the old beagle for a vet appointment and come back with a cat. Adopted this abandoned kitten that a rescue group dropped at the animal hospital. Keeping this cat far from the gun safes.

Great story. I didn't see how that was all going to connect but it did. As others have said, sometime the loss of a pet can be as hard as the loss of a family member, well they are family members.

Here's to good pets! Gulp

Cute kitty! And I can see that there is no saying "no" to the little one holding it!

Did the cat tell you it's name yet?

You're absolutely right. My wife had her call from the animal hospital to ask if we could adopt. Only one right answer to that question. Ha.

His name is "Snubbie"

He's proven to be a good sport. Putting up with all sorts of nonsense, like the Barbie Trailer.

Nice looking Colt and a great "save a cat" story. Not cat person but, they seem to know it and rub against my legs. Sorry for your loss.

Scout the "wonder poodle" has been gone for a long time but, was one of the smartest that we have had. My wife has told me that when I retire, I can get another dog. We shall see.

Good story and thanks for the good pics. We've always had a cat or two, I guess we are cat people, but I like dogs as well. Just don't have one now...Keep up the good work. Our possessions often remind us of friends and family for one reason or another...I figure you will see that cat again.
