Meet Scout!

Beautiful pup! That pic that Rusty re-posted will melt even Freddy Kruger's heart! I drove a fairly good distance to get our pup last June. I suppose around 5 hours round trip to Columbus, Ohio from Pittsburgh, PA, with big grin on my face all the way home! After putting my 1st Weim down (Dec.7th, 2021, 11:19 AM) after a great and memory-filled 12 1/2 years, and being home alone all day being retired, I was in a pretty bad state of depression. Angel the crazy Weimaraner has been a Godsend. I hope Scout gives you all the love you need!
I think every home needs a dog or cat . Heck, they listen better than the kids when they were still here!
Again, congratulations on your beautiful new puppy/burglar alarm combo!

I have seen smaller delicate female labs, and maybe she will fit the bill. Regardless, I'm happy for you.

My next door neighbor was a chocolate curly coat lab, and the former owner of our house kept treats for his visits. Pele very quickly set us straight, and we kept a cookie jar stocked just for him, full of the big Costco milk bones or rawhide chew sticks. We miss him terribly. He was fascinated with our kittens, and they became great friends. Eventually all 3 would take naps on the neighbor's hot front porch together.

I hope you create many happy memories together.

Rule #9???

Do not try to circumvent this rule.

If you're referring to my tongue in cheek comment about taking the dog to a certain type of restaurant, I don't see that as a "racial issue", but I'll edit it out.

Just an update on Scout. She already seems bigger, her tail works really well and her little teeth are sharp as razors!

Not one "accident" in the house and she now goes to the rug near the front door and sits down when she has to go out!

I hope your tongue was planted firmly in your cheek, but if you're not putting me on I was referring to post #7 in this thread and number 9 of "Chad's dog rules"

Telling a lab not to shed is like telling the sun not to come up . . . :D

Another update on Scout...

We've had her for three weeks and a day. I wouldn't give her up for anything now. She's as sweet as she can be, is housebroken, crate trained and brings us a lot of joy. She still wants to chew on everything and everyone, but is getting better everyday and understands the commands sit, come, and NO. She loves belly rubs and slept on the bed with us last night.

So far, we have over $1000 invested in this varmint. Her next vet visit is scheduled for the first week of December, then another in January. Her toy collection is growing. At this rate, she'll have more treasures than us in a few years!

Mrs Chad isn't pulling an LBJ in this photo. Scout put her paws up on her lap, my wife put her head in a knee lock and is caressing her soft puppy ears. Picture from 6am this morning!

Getting bigger everyday! She was 18.5 lbs on Saturday.
